Was this event amateur or pro? Give us details, sounds like it was fun.
It was A tournament that has know prize money as many of the other top organizations have and of course there are some pros that enter from country sponsored teams like in the other tournaments which I do not think is fair but is the norm in these type of events.
Other than what I mentioned above it was an awesome event and A great chance to meet some great fighters from all over the world that fight under all stand up styles of fighting.
This was a great experience for the young fighters that I brought there and for myself as well, as I made some lifelong friends there from all over the World.
I would recomend that anyone that has a chance to go to such an event to go as it was an experience that the team I brought will never forget nor will I.
Congradulations,
Looks like you did a hell of a job. I had no idea you were so invovled in international fighting.
I know a bunch of fighters who would jump at the chance to fight on a team of this caliber.
Great job and thanks for representing the USA so well. How we present ourselves and how hard we fight gets more important everyday. For American fighters abroad it's not whether we win but how hard we fight.
Looking forward to meeting you soon.
Brooks
Hey Brooks, I also look foward to meeting you. I know that you go way back to the early days with Don Wilson and I have heard alot of good things about you.
If you know of any fighters that would be interested in travelling to some of theses events and others have them E Mail me at tommybeeatafc@yahoo.com check out my web site for updates www.ringoffirekickboxing.com
What rules are used? I would love to go to Greece. Is there any type of qualifying for this event?

They have rules for almost all aspects of stand up fighting except for Sanshou.
Full Contact: Above the waiste kickboxing with no minimum kicks and no spinning back fist and boot to boot sweeps are allowed.
Oriental Rules : Int'l rules, Low Kicks ,Knees to the body,no elbows, limited clinching.
Body Contact: Traditonal Full Contact rules like Kyokashin style fighting.
Low Kicks,Knees ,no elbows,no gloves,no face contact.
Light Contact : simular to Full contact without maximum streght contact..
basically A stepping stone to full contact.
Semi Contact: Point fighting as in NASKA,NBL,WAKO,ETC.
There are many athletes who compete in more than one event . Many of these athletes do well in all of the events that they enter.
Is is good to see athletes from all over the world in many diferent styles at this event coming together and making great friendships.
I ment to say in next years event which I believe will be held in April 2002.

Damn I wish I could have made this one. Good luck to everyone who competes.
That looks like a lot of fun !
I was in Greece waaaay back in '94 (feels like yesterday :( ) had a blast. Lots of $$$$ though, wish I was rich, I would go.
I know it was awesome last year. I am looking foward to going back. Your right it is a little expensive that is why it is hard to get many fighters from the U.S. to go to these tournaments in Europe.
