Are Genes
Just Watched a BBC Doc about are genes + how big apart it has on are preformance in everything especially sports.it seems most people are either build for strength or stamina.it can be tested from are blood + genes
some1 that is bulided for strength will find it hard to get good stamina + the same the other way.i was wondering which would be better for fighting.
you can see it in peoples styles some have low work rate but hit very hard when they do + others more tec style higher work rate
if you were training would you be better off working on wat ur good at.
i know some people seem to have it all but they have to work alot harder on 1 thing
Also the lenght ratio between ur ring finger + index finger shows how much testosterone we got as a baby + shows how good an athlete we can be.someone with a much longer ring finger than index finger is supposedly a better athlete.men usually have the above + women have the longer index than ring finger

I think focusing on what your strengths are is first though also minimizing your to be strengths to a degree has a place.

Gene's are not clear cut in my opinion.

According to some experts, like Bruce Lipton, genetic expression is 98% determined by environment of the gene. My understanding of it and of what he talks about is that genes give us potential tendancies but the environment is a much bigger factor on how they express. According to Lipton 98% of genetic expression is determined by the environment.

It is also my experience that limited development at key periods during gestation or childhood etc can be corrected to a large degree. You can look at someones body and see what time periods in development where compromised and do work, exercises or methods to help "catch up".

The environment of genes is the cells in which they're housed. Cells have receptor sites on them that take in chemical messengers from the outside of the cell, from the body... These informational substances (as Candace Pert calls them - discoverer of the opiate receptor) are the chemicals from the foods we eat, they are released from how are reactions to our experiences in life, there are released with thoughts and emotions, they are the chemicals we breath in etc etc

At first it was thought that the chemicals released in the brain when experiencing happiness or sadness went through receptors sites and into the cells in the brain and we experienced the emotion... now it is known that almost all the cells in the body receive these informational substances... the immune system, the muscles, the heart, liver, stomach etc etc etc

The food you eat, the thoughts you think, the feelings you have, the air you breath, anything that goes in the body or any experience you have releases these chemical messengers and the WHOLE body experiences it. The genes act according to the information that enters the cell.

The cells record how often and what type of info enters and the information is stored and dictates how the genes act and how the cell is replaced etc etc...

"Biology Of Belief" - Bruce Lipton gets into some of this as does "Molecules Of Emotion" - Candace Pert...

Lipton essentially proves convincingly with hard science how even our beliefs about self and life dictate genetic expression.

This is out there in some ways but it is also strongly backed with standard science. Both Lipton and Pert are big in their fields and and though their info is revolutionary it is coming from hard science.

the old view is we are victims of genetics and poor me
the new paradigm is we can take charge of our lives, our health, our bodies and even our genetic expression

remember, according to Lipton (and others) 98% of genetic expression is determined by the genes environment and that means how we live and experience life

genetic potential in sports performance is a factor - question is how close are we even to our genetic potential?

We are born with three types of muscle twitch fibres, fast (explosive ATP kinda exercise) Slow( Endurance) and a type that can be munipulatied (spelling) with exercise. These fibres are determined by our parents. This is a very bad and poorly explained way of saying something as I could be here all day and confuse people with the science of it.
