Hey Guy good luck with the show, if goes as sweet as the last it will be a cracker.

what weights are the lads fighting at and what class???
guy caledonian
Posted: 2009-01-26 16:47:07
hey kev, most of the fights are a class or pro mma, with a few b class bouts in there. you still in thailand? hope things are going well for you.

good news, still dotting i's and crossing t's, but it looks 99% certain that Florence Delaroche from RMBoxing in Paris is coming over to take on Hilary Mack
in an A class muay thai fight...for women's muay thai, that's big! hell, for all muay thai, that's big.

tix are flying, don't miss the chance to see this awesome show.

Aye still here enjoying myself a bit to much, need to start taking the training serious now haha.

Glad to here the north is getting a demand on the A Class circuit, John got any fighters on this one? I know he has a show coming up so I'm sure most of the guy's will be matched.

Good Luck Hill and bring home the goods.

hey kev, yeah, john's show is a week before ours, but hoping to have a couple of bobby t's lads on the show.

hey stevie, i still haven't got that facebook thing going, so if you got time, send me one of those old time emails, let me know how you're getting on. cheers!

r.e A class - i'm an a class fan, that's the sport...i think westerners tend to freak out a little too much about the elbow thing, if you're ok having somebody knee/shin you in the teeth at 70mph, and given that elbows are actually really hard to land clean, then what's the problem? (start new thread...and no mentioning me getting tko'd by mr. thrasher via an elbow...)

Happy to confirm that our celtic cousins from cornwall, Touchgloves, are confirmed for the show....
Euro champ Zoe Mason will be taking on Scot champ Paula Wilkie, and Caz Brixton will be taking on Nita Autereiner. Good to have you on board, it's always difficult getting our girls matched, appreciate the commitment.

Guy, my team are training and preparing for the Amateurs in Bangkok for the 16th-26th March so most of the 'A' class guys cannot support this show but if you want any other Celtic 'sheep' Invaders from Cardiff for any shows durng the summer and later in the year i can give you:-

Joey Brincat 55-57 kg A class
Matt Sheedy 63-66 A class
Sean Facey 70-72KG A or B class
Will Riva under 91 A or B class or K1 rules (maybe at 88kg after Thailand)
Gobind Singh 66-68 KG B Class may fight 1st time full rules
Lewis Long 80-83 kg will fight 1st time 'A' class 'B' class or MMA semi pro or Pro

Got a good team of Novice to C Class and 1 or 2 others that will consider B class too!

I am looking to put another show in the middle May just working on a bigger venue so any shows towards the end of June onwards let me know.

hey Laura, no idea you were pregnant, that's awesome...Hil's opponent is (pending visa) Florence Delaroche from RM Boxing, 3x french, 1x eurochamp, and has been in with Bernice Aldiss, she's 26w and 4 l, and has been fighting A class for a while now..it's a real tough test for Hil, but then again, nobody else wanted a shot. Good luck with your show, and if you're back up from Beastmasters, you're most welcome at the show. Hi to John.

cannaebebotheredtraining
Posted: 2009-03-02 04:49:20
Nah Liam,
Lyn is Burmese, Minn-Din is his surname mate.
Speaking of whom, he was freakin awesome yesterday.
That was the most composed performance I've seen from him. Sean McDonald was as tough as nails, he took some BIG kicks for 5 rounds but stayed in it and went the distance. As his arm began to look more and more bruised round by round, I honestly thought he'd have to retire but kudos to him and congrats to Lyn.

Hilary, definitely the best I've seen her fight, really good, strong, aggresive performance and she looked as sharp in the 5th as she did in the 1st. Her oppponent was tough and looked crazy but Hil gave her a bit of a doing really and put in some cracking elbows. Nice work mate.

Jordan Calder... Superstar. Nothing more to say.

Dean Reilly, won with a head kick ko in 11 seconds. All these cracking thai bouts and it takes the MMA guy to give us a head kick KO. Haha, typical. Well done Dean.

I don't know the rest of the competitors personally, but there was plenty of good fights and a great day for Caly and the Dinky's.
Guy Ramsay and the Sportfight guys, brilliant show and BIG crowd.

Everyone from Caley/Dinky's were awesome yesterday, and the crowd defo got there money's worth. Was great to meet Nathan, Julie and Caz really nice people and all in all it was a great week-end for everyone involved. Would just like to thank Guy Ramsay for putting Jordan on this show and bringing over his opponent from Holland, and Tommy Young, Liam, Andy and Davy you know why lads. And lastly well done son you were brilliant yesterday (the best bit was when he was warming up hitting pads and he missed the pad and shinned Liam right on the jaw, nearly sparked him Lmao) all your dedication and hard work paid off, we're all proud of you as always. Liam touched on his opponents attitude above so I won't go into it. You put him in his place....nuff said.

what a weekend
jordan calder---WOW!!
hilary mack---is back---great win against florence under 5x3 ftr as well, totally proves her class.

well done to caz, chainsaw knees, cazasaurus, granny, brixton who now at the age of 41 has gained 5 pro wins all in the last 8 months.her opponent kathryn was very tough and cazs best opponent to date.

julie took all the risks in the book to fight paula, but paula(william wallace)wilkie could easily have gone down the safe road of an exhibition bout, but chose to take on julie in a proper fight.
imo this is what fighters are made of and even though there was a difference in class, this made a very exciting fight which more than captured the crowd.even though the fight was stopped early in the 4th,julie took the decision to let paula carry on in her ambition to last the distance, even though she was clearly struggling with her own fitness with only a weeks training in the bag.
this is what makes julie the best female fighter in the world and separates her from the fighters that play safe with opponents.
sportswomanship to the max from both girls.

the show, crowd, promoter, runners everything was absolutely spot on,this was one of the best shows i have ever been to.thanks very much to guy.i was really touched by the respect that guy has shown julie over the weekend,it costs nothing, but means everything, thanks mate.

and a great saturday party.the dwarf breed version of the four musketeers, liam, andy, rung and myself, what a laugh and an honour to be partying with some of britains best fighters and dancers.lol

David Patterson from EFR Ireland, the Swedes (who had a French and a Portuguese fighter with them) Nathan Kitchen, Touchgloves, Cornwall...couldn't have met nicer people, Julie showed the most outstanding sportswomanship in her acceptance of, and conduct throughout her fight, and showed why she is world champ. I was so proud of all our team on Sunday, last thanks to T at oran mor for letting us put on the best show yet.

Match making was brilliant, some right smacking was handed out, i could have sat and watched, Julie, Hils and Jordans fights straight away again afterwards they where wicked. Nath,Julie and Caz was a pleasure to help you guys out in the corner (not that i was much help or you needed any, twats, haha) but enjoyed it, good to meet you at last nathan, and what a night out???lol cant wait for the next time that 4 of the 7 dwarfs get together and do it again. To be honest all of the Cale guys where the best ive seen to date, all strong, calm and compossed and brilliant technique. Lyns quads are scandalous btw? where the hell did he get them from??... Jordan my little (bigger thank me now?) mate that was the best ive seen you, fooking awesome mate, if i you dont fight like that everytime from now on ill kill you, lol. Well done to Guy, the Sportfight guys and all the fighters! Some top class performances at the weekend, I thought Jordan stepped it up another level, Hil looked back on top form and Adrian and Lyn looked very good considering there lack of ring experience! Missed all of the MMA, apart from Jarvie's.
