I got a poster on my car widscreen out side my gym a charity fight night 2 , all good derry you do rearlise theres a big boxing event on the same night at Isis mate and the whole of eastmidlands will be their at this show whith big names on the bill, i had the simala thing on my last show at longeaton in december with the Karl frock fight we had 400 spectaters that night were we normally have 1200 plus it happens some times anyway Derry all the best .Surge.

Yes surge I tried to tell billy but he just went ahead. King of the ring next night also!! I think he will do well to get 200 but I am not envolved anymore I just agreed to fight him for charity again. It's all his work now mate. Hi surge, dontvworry it's just a demo I never made head contact last time and won't this time. I have enough experience to put on a show fight without hurting him. I don't understand y he wants to do it but I said I wud help again even tho I got a bum decision last time.( he promised me it wud be declared a draw!!! ) I hear wat your saying tho I'm not mad on the idea but he can be persuasive ha ha. Anyway I have left him to it this time so it's all his show. He is determined to carry on with shows but I don't want any part of it anymore just agreed to put on a performance for charity.

This venu Isis has alawys been Gladiators gym show spot , weve been working with Isis for the last 5 years and we doing fight shows over the last 10 years , pirates did a show at Isis and if you was there you would rearlise that they did strugle ????? to pull it off , please dont confuse Gladiators shows , our shows are are awsome totaly differarnt , so who ever you come down and see for your self .

Ps , these fighers on the this bill are aged beteewn 18 to 28yrs old , not 40yr olds , you need to have a look at the poster and youl see that these fighters are not 40yr olds????? i hope i have answerd you questions for you .

I can confirm that we only used this venue once. Gladiators have pulled of many shows there in the past. I hate arranging shows but my colleague likes to do them so we had a go there 2 years ago. Surge is right we struggled to get a crowd, we are crap at marketting but I stand by the quality of the fights that night. Nearlly all were muay Thai, represented were sitjaipetch from cork, k star, studio 2000. And Northampton muay Thai amongst others. The fights were quality but we couldn't pull off the marketing. I am also proud to say we had no fake titles up for grabs ......... Maybe that's why we didn't get a crowd?? LOL anyway I personally don't get involved in arranging shows but big billy is persevering ..... And good luck to him as his shows are always for charity. And if the 40 year old snide comment is reffering to me n billy having a charity demo fight.... Ur right " it is sad" but if the man wants to do it and raise money then I don't mind helping him out as even tho he is 40 odd no one else around here dare get in the ring wiv him. Hi Derry ,your write mate too many pepole alawys try to put a spaner in the works ????? ie ethier jellous or just shit sturrers or just dont know what there talking about, proberly just second hand information , the charity event is for helping towards kids and ill pepole which is brillient not many promoters do charity shows and i take my hat off to billy for that ,as for title fights we always used to sanction with ISKA and WAKO PRO and WKA , for the last two years we work with WRSA which have been very good to us and are reconised world wide just like the others , i hope this answers all questions and good look Derry with Billys charity show .

Anyone who is anyone in Nottm shud come to surge show you can see from the fight list that it is packed with tallent. billy and pirates are just doin a small event to raise money for the rainbow hospice, I don't have alot to do with pirates anymore it's all billy now. I might put up another thread about that show. This thread is about heavy hitters show on march 22 at Isis and I can't wait to see the action. Just like to say how proud I am of Helen Armstrong who was having her first fight and gave away alot of weight thats all I am saying. She was ace and trained very hard for this fight and did everything that I asked of her. Yes it was a close fight but Helen outscored the girl with body kicks and knees especially. The other girl just punched basically and threw the occasional inside low kick. Helen will learn loads from this experience and just get better end better. We couldn't believe how calm she was before her fight after all the ups and downs of the whole day, but I won't go into that. Her calmness before the fight reminded me of someone else before they fight haha. Helen was ace and I was so proud of her, well done onwards and upwards from now on, she did herself and our gym proud, Nuff said.

I would like to thank every club gym and fighter for taking part on sunday , first of all iwould just like to say to Heln Armstrong team yes my girl was slighty over wieght 3kg if im correct , shed eaten before she turned up and to put the record straight to every one we did get her wieght down before she she fort Heln ,heln wieght was 60kg tania was 62kg , every promter has this problem on every show anyway we made the wieght in the end if i rember in 15 minetts . Allthe rest of the fights on the night were all well matched up the main event Jimmy kram and Chris knowels was a war both big lads had a proper tear up Chris showed more experiance but jimmy stook in thire and showed yes he was a underdog but im going to give my best shot with a true pro , Chris was the winner on the nite by judges decission all invaver of Chris knowles , it was first loss after 7 fights 5 ko:s and 2 wins , this loss will make jimmy kram into more better and stronger fighter , were back on june the 7th here in nottingham at Isis senoritas night club . surge .
