hi toospunky, your the chap with all the top mt fights on youtube arnt you. your fights are the best on youtube by a mile
Chokdee to the Brits.
Is there still 48hrs between weigh-in and fight on the I-1 tourney?
I bet you could get some disgraceful weight back on in that time!!!!!
Weigh-in at 65kgs, fight at nearer 75!!!!!
Hi Paul, yes that's me. Thank you for your kind words! ^_^
Hi Mr. C, yes there's still 48 hrs between weigh-in and fight on the I-1 tourney. Besides the I-1 tourney, this is the usual practice in all muaythai events in Hong Kong.
Awesome tourny and we got so well looked after last yr , we wanted for nothing ...apart from a little longer to cut weight maybe lol and a sauna .... if the Brits want one there is a sauna place just across the road .... if you are still using the T house hotel round the corner from Master Ips gym ...
Good luck with the show and hope you are well
Are Kulebin and Santichai in the tourney or a superfight?
Whoops, should read the post properly. Kulebin's gotta be the front runner to take this out again.
kulebin is a monster! watch out for Bryan To, he is been up with some tough opposition and grown tremendously, he is of course a top guy too!
Joey finally has some real opposition, last few fights all ended on first round ko's! she is the sweetest girl when not fighting!
plentyyyyyy of saunas in HK! lol

Hi atreiu, Joey last fought in a rematch with Ferial Ameerodien at Planet Battle and won on points.
hi mate, yeah i was there, Ferial was amazing, a rematch and the 2 are good friends!!! the first fight ended with a tko win via elbow cut, in something like 30 sec?!
does anyone have any infos on rosalie berhuis??
thanks

That's rather impossible that she was born in 1087, right? ROFL
HAHAHAHAH stamina at that age must be a problem!!!
I don't know who canathus is.
I am Nigel Chan, friend of Kim Ip's.
I don't work for Kim but I am quite heavily involved in I-1, including emceeing the events, commentating the DVDs and doing some match-ups.
Chris, we've met a number of times. Don't you remember me?
of course! i thought you were nigel, yeah man! nice to see you in here, anyway looking forward to this fights, fun stuff!!
by the way were you mcing last event with preacher? i couldn't make that one unfurtunatelly!
Hi Chris. No I didn't emcee the last event with Preacher. That was a Libogen FN show. I am only involved with I-1.
you are the best! see you soon!
Stevie Miekle is a machine,
Dicks is a machine, No push overs in this 8 man.
Good luck Stevie, hope the the weighin isn't too tough for you, but when you make it, those 2 says are going to be amazing, you'll go in like a sumo! LOL Is this Full Thai Rules? If so Dicks has to have a shot, good luck to both!
all the best to the uk guys especially Ratamus manamus :) Miekle has nice muaythai style and will be big 2 days after andf dicks will sling elbows like hes in a mosh pit so both will do well.
What weight is the tournament at
You,Liam and Andy should be banned from anything that permits 48hour weigh in, i reckon liam could do k-1max 70kg weigh in then k1 95+ 48hours after lol
It would certainly be interesting to know how much weight ppl put on.
I remember when I fought at Raja and there was this "lil fella" who weighed in at 55kgs at 8am, and came back at 67/68kgs at 7pm the same day!!!!
beag that was saenchai jikrienkrai 56.5 to 66.5 in 12 hours
That was dispicable!
I can think of someone to challenge that though. :)
i remember this kid from leeds did 62- 72 in about 24hrs or less...
holy shit, is it even possible? 10 kilos?! wow waterless at weight in! he must have been well dryyy!
Dave Hale of Canada has pulled out due to an injury.
He has been replaced by Valdet Gashi of Germany.
Adam Smith fought Bryan Kid at the IFMA world cup in 2007. Took it to points but lost. From what i remember Bryan was very fast moving in and out of range.
New Poster:
this will be a good one.what size is the venue and will it be televised?
by the way, I second what paulinthailand says toospunky , you have some great clips on youtube

Many thanks, HAWKMAN and paulinthailand!
The two I-1 events in 2008 will be televised on TVB Jade in Hong Kong soon, not sure about this one.
Rosalie Berghuis of Holland has pulled out due to an illness.
She has been replaced by WMF World Champion and IFMA European Champion, Ala Ivashkevich of Belarus.

Hi everybody!
All fighters have arrived and weighed in successfully!
Tomorrow is the day! Chokdee!
Here is the draw for the 8-man tourney:
Will post some photos soon!
All in the luck of the draw with tournaments.
I think Kulebin has an easy route and the final will either be:
Kulebin V Dicks
Kulebin V Santichai
BUT (...big but), with full rules from the start ANYTHING can happen.
Good luck guys.
COME ON DIXIE BEST OF LUCK MATE SEE YOU WHEN YOU AND PAUL GET BACK
Good luck Dixie and Paul Hamilton bring it back to the North East
any1 betting? £30 on kulebin
Kulebin is the best tournament fighter I've ever watched...methodical, calculating, hard, accurate strikes without overexerting or self-inflicting injury. He' my pick to take it too.
Michael won first fight against Valdet Gashi.
Santichai stopped Stephen Meikle
Michael then lost on points to Santichai. Santichai stopped Kulebin in the final end first round - Kulebin couldn't continue.
Damien lost on points - was apparently bit of a robbery..
Bit of a robbery...too right..I was watching with my blind friend and his dog confirmed Damien had outclassed his opponent. Damien looking alot smaller that his Chinese opponent, yet sharper and definitly in rounds 2 and 3 out scoring him greatly.
Kulebin looked fit and strong but think a cut from the quarter finals went against him early on in the final.
Miekle got hit with elbows early on and didnt really get chance to regain his head before Santichai stepped things up, smashing elbow to end that fight, shame as I was hoping Miekle would get into the later stages.
Good performances from Michael - 2 tough fights - great showing for the UK at this I-1
Also very impressed with the Belarusian girl who fought Joey, very strong in the clinch, great timing and work rate throughout
Anywhere to watch any of this event?
the DVD will be out later this year
It was a great show and a pleasure to be on it but.........lol all ive had of everyone in the arena is "you won easily" all this is off fellow chinese here.
I felt anything he did i answered back quickly never really giving him any edge. If you had to argue any part of the fight it would of been 30secs of the 1st round when he hit me with a jumping knee which took the wind out of me and he steamed in then but still couldnt really take a great advantage.
This is my opinion of course but pretty much what im getting off everyone.
But it would be great to fight on one of Kim Ip's shows again
Hi everybody! I just got back home from the show! Thank you for your interest in I-1!

Damien unlucky mate, but you no what its like when your fighting abroad sometimes, on the upside you got a great little trip and a wicked show to fight on, and maybe can blag yourself a return trip for a rematch eh??
hey guy can someone give me a run down on the mark saracino vs andrei quarter final? I know mark lost but I just wanted to know how he went as I have been holding some pads for him.
Mark was good with punches but lose because of Clinch and kick of andrei was very effective. In any case Mark is very strong fighter. He help a lot to santichai injuring Andrei leg.
Nice work Damien mate, i hope they have u back over good work by UK promoter getting our guys on these top shows.
