There will be 'Novice' and 'Senior' I.K.F. Amateur Kickboxing Bouts. ( ‘O.S.R.’ format ).

'O.S.R.' is the abbreviation for Open Scoring Rules, which means that the scoring is 'open' for everyone to view during the contests to ensure fairness to all competitors.

Open scoring is used for all Olympic sports, including Boxing and Taekwondo.

On A.K.A. England events, this is done using score machines mounted next to the area of play ( boxing ring ) during bouts. The format is similar to Olympic Style Rules as seen in Olympic Amateur Boxing.

Also,

Polite reminder -

All entries must include the complete record, according to A.K.A. criteria.

This must show "Wins / Losses / Draws".

'DRAWS' :-

ANY and ALL, 'no-win no-loss' / 'no-decision' INTERCLUBS, are regarded as 'DRAWs' under A.K.A. criteria.

This is important, as contests are matched as equally and fairly as possible, and all ring experience adds up, especially with the amount of interclub activity currently on the Thai-Kickboxing circuit. Recently we had an entry with a 1w record that turned out to be a 1 win, 15 draws (interclub) record.

Not a fair match against a total first timer.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Neil

If any instructors have got any entries for the event please send the following details to higherthaikick@hotmail.co.uk

NAME
AGE
WEIGHT
HEIGHT
EXPERIENCE

Note - all no win no lose interclubs are classed as draws as there have been a few cases of instructors putting entires in as NOVICE when they have had numerous interclubs matched against firstimers to the ring which is an unfair advantage.

Entry fees for competitors are as follows

Adults £30 - includes DVD & trophy

Junior £20 - includes DVD, trophy and 1 Adult entry to show (worth £20 alone)

All entries must be received by Friday 20th November but to ensure your students are matched can
all instructors email the above details asap

Look forward to seeing you all there as always

AHH Lee... its never a headache! if you were a mechanic it would be the clutch that hadnt arrived or something.

Although having built race engines and drag & circuit cars its never plain sailing/ racing.

An old racing term - it applies to promotions too i think at times!

Well done Stuart Abol, Wish i had a bit more timber on... Got a late call for this one though as my opp had injured him self. Stuart will more than dominate the heavy weight division for a long time!, unless i pack on some poundage and take a re - match :-) Thank you to Neil at the IKF for the opportunity, if anything I had something to gain from this shot, but not lose anything

I still enjoyed myself...still have giggle..remember sitting down on my rear end and just looking at my corner taking a 8 count!!! Went of my game/fight plan, went toe 2 toe, and someone was going to get tagged...was me :-) Should of stayed as the 1st round...stick and move.. think i was 26 points ahead..

Thanks again

Some very good up and coming fighters coming through, Good show Lee
