Hi all, considering the size of the other thread, I thought it might be better to start a new one for faster loading times. I hope they make good reminders. These are just a small sample of what I took on the day.
Enjoy. :o)
Jordan Calder V Anthony Shelton
Jordan Calder V Anthony Shelton
Phil Burke v Paul Grant
Jordan Watson v Stevie Meikle
Michael will we be able to get these photographs ??
MSA have copyright on all the pictures, so I can't make them available for prints personally, but I'm confident that you'll be able to order prints from one source or another at some point. I'll let you know as soon as I do. :o)
It was good to meet you by the way, Brian... I don't think I introduced myself properly.
Mike, can i just say that last short of Jordan is one of the best ive seen. top fooking work
Was good to meet you too Michael, top pictures there mate.
i agree with mattyb! that photo of jordan is amazing!!! well done mate!!
Thanks Matty, that's one of my favourites too... Jordan's fight was one of those where everything went right for me in terms of pictures... It seemed I just couldn't take a bad shot. I've got another one of him high-kicking Steve, with Steve's guard high and his glove squashed right up against his face. The detail is awesome! I'll upload that one too at some point, but for now, I only sorted out a few from each fight. I've got nearly a thousand shots to get through!
Marc Sargeant v Ally Smith
Panicos Yusif's glove!
Panikos Yusuf v Rungnakorn
*Sorry Panicos, I just realised I spelt your name wrong in the last post* :o)
bet you were having fun with your new lens! i'm so jealous of your photos!!! lol!! well done! the lighting in that place is amazing! i got some wicked shots there too at the first show master sken held there. don't even need to use flash! good luck getting through the photos, i don't envy you with that task in hand! lol :o)
The new lens is a revelation to me... and a great investment - I only hope I get invited to shoot more shows in the future, I love getting shots for the fighters and improving with each show I do. My next investment is going to be a new pc or laptop to make this whole process a lot quicker! ha ha.
Here's a couple of interval pictures to finish off the night with, I'll add more pictures tomorrow... watch this space. :o)
Flexible Chloe Bruce is Flexible!!!
Her team were amazing to watch.
The jordan one is awesome really incredible i want it x
Howson v Rungravee

Andy Thrasher V Mehdi Zatout
Andy Thrasher V Mehdi Zatout
Good work Basil.
What lens were you using?
Lighting must have been spot on for you not to have to use a flash and still not get any motion blur.
Thanks Phil - I'm using a Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM. It's the first time I've used it for fight photography and it's made such a massive difference to what I can achieve.
Liam Harrison V Sakeddao Petpayathai
Liam Harrison V Sakeddao Petpayathai
Coming Soon....
Senchai V Rob Storey. :o)
17-55 f2.8, the piggy bank will have been smashed for that!
The results speak for themselves though mate.
that last picture of liam getting some is quality technique!
the Thai looks about 7ft in it aswel
think the thai was about 6 1 lol dont help that liam is 5 2. if his arm was about 3 inches longer that left hook would have took sakketdaos head off, some right discos in last 2 rounds loved it, even with 10 seconds left of final round u know liam could still win it.
That was definitely the closest fight of the night for sure.
I've heard that there's going to be a full write up in Fighter's Magazine, on the stands on 25th November.
Can you put up a pic of jordan Calder with the for the glory of bling T-shirt! pls basil
Our lass loved that t-shirt!! Blinged to the max!!
I'm holding out adding any more pics for the time being, matey... I've still got literally hundreds to get through.
Si, I just had a quick look and there's a decent pic of Jordan wearing his For The Glory T-Shirt! ;o)
At some point they'll all be added to the MSA website.

which one? the thrasher fight was closer than that one.
I do wish my lads would not make stupid comments about scoring. I am going to have to have another word with him!!
pointswise i lost clear...but i did the beter disco whacks at least lol...back to the drawing board for me...cant wait to fght again.
still a legend liam!! i m sure the best is still to come!!
What do I know, I'm just a fugging photographer?!?!?! ;o) I can't score for shit with one eye through a lens and the other on the action. I'm just looking out for you lot smashing each other! It's almost anecdotal observations for me, on the scoring, I'm afraid.
heh... there's a big fat wink in there if you look closely. ;o)
It's all tounge in cheek, Michael would never talk to me like that seriously, I may choose to hold the pads for him again. ;-)
He should still no better though, it's not as if it doesn't get drilled in to them every training session
he needs a seminar lol tell him if he does it again u nick hes lens!
