After a ban of about 13 years, Hatton promotions have managed to overturn the boxing ban in Bury. As a result, on the 29th May (bad Clash) Scott Quigg will headline a show in his hometown.
Check out http://www.brandhatton.com/TV for an interview with Scott about this and also an interview with Ricky Hatton about Scott
same day as the msa show in london , shame it wasnt a different day as i have committed myself.good luck anyway.
I know, hence the Bad Clash statement!!
About time, Seeing Scott doing so well gave them a good reason to lift the ban I should imagine. Great publicity for the town! World famous market, Robert Peel, Flying shuttle.....now Scott Quigg :-)
Is it just for a one off ocassion why they lifted the ban?
Good luck Scott
I think last show in Bury was Phil Nurses MT show about 95 ?
I think so, it was just after Phil's last show there that they banned boxing.
Scott won 1st round sto The atmosphere was amazingppage, he sold over 800 tickets. The atmosphere was amazing, whilst it lasted
Saw it on the local northwest news,Fantastic! Great Result by Scott, again.Really going places. And been said loads of times but like Andy Thrasher and others at the TOP of thier game a great guy,Not a prima donna. GOOD luck Scott and onwards and upwards.

I'm not a boxing fan at all, but I do enjoy watching Scott (even if it is only for 2 Mins lol)
The atmosphere for Scott's fight was fantastic, and that was prob the best entrance I've ever seen ha ha.
