We are looking for MMA fighters interested in competing in a new event in Newcastle upon Tyne this June.

All bouts will be under Full Pro Rules.

Fighters will be matched according to classification which is based on number of fights - ie

0-3 fights in Novice - 3x4min rounds
3-6 fights Intermediate - 3x5min rounds
7+ Experienced - 3x5min rounds
Title Fights will all be 5x5min rounds

Special dispensation will be given to experienced fighters from other disciplines of contact sports, which will be discussed.


Our first show is going to be mainly Eliminator Bouts for a larger show in July/August, however there will be a headline bout which will see two top local fighters contest for a Northern Area Title.


Any Coaches/Gyms/Fighters interested please get in touch so we can take things from there.

All fighters will receive a purse & ticket deal.

I am Nico Verresen and have 57 muay thai fights (40-14-3). I have been 5 times Belgian and European muay thai champion.

I won one mma fight and would like to participate in your event. I fight from 65/66kg so around 145 pounds but if necessary I can drop to 138 pounds or fight on 150 pounds.

Our team (ck-team) also has a 198 pro fighter Kurt Verschueren with 12 fights. He is a real brawler and his trademark is a high kick.

Then you have our Bert Van Geystelen who has around 10 fights and is a strong fighter with a strong double leg takedown.

We also have Nigel Heylen who has won an amateur fight with pro rules in the states and won the amateur world championship tournament in Italy with 5 victories. He has a judo background and is strong in takedowns and brawling.

For the times u will have problems I think... Try keep in mindnovice ans stuff gonna be blowing after round 1! Just my opinion but I seen it happen many times...
