Any photo galleries ? Any one know of any good photo galleries of Muay Thai in thailand ? Or any kick ass fight galleries.

Pictures like this one??
wow,
that's a brilliant shot.
Gee, imagine it with the other foot so we could have seen the expression on his face.
Good stuff.
I am glad that you like the photo. Whant more ??????
Shit, that must have been a massive kick to have vaporised the sweat like that. Usually in pics you see sweat in much larger beads.
This is Mark Hunt right Vs Neilson Taione
Who are the guys in the kick pic?
I think it's Musashi vs. Braga in the K1
Imagine that kick with some extention and the shin landing.....OUCH!
there was a great fight between perry ubeda and stan nigema a couple of years
ago that has been aired on espn2 a few times. at one point ubeda kicked
nigema in the head and there was an incredible amount of sweat flying off of
nigema's head on impact. they showed a slow motion replay of the hit and
it was pretty impressive! i think some people with ringside seats got soaked ;)
PJ Reilly:
It is Musashi Vs Braga!
Great job PJ.

This is from the farely recent Gurkan Ozkan Vs Daniel Tai World title fight (think it was ISKA but not certain). This must have been a hard kick by Daniel to get the sweat from his own body flying.
Hey Oliver, could you please put the fighters names up with the picture if possible. There might be some other people like me that only recognize half the fighters.
Man, I'd love to be able to shoot some of the big shows in Japan. I might have to take up stealing car radio's or something so I can afford it.
Paul:
Ok, next time I put a picture/photo on this board, I will write who is on the photo, ok.
oliver do you possibly have any pictures of ignashov kneeing andrew thompson?
David Lucas:
I am so sorry, but I only have a handful of pictures of Ignashov, and non of them are from his fight against Andrew. Sorry!!!!
ok, im very impressed with your collection. how about any good knees to
the head? maybe andy's knee k.o. of pat smith??
How about the fight when Andy kneed Leko in the face!?? that was K-1 fight night 99 I believe....
The fight between Andy Hug Vs Leko is from the 1999 K-1 fight night in Switzerland. It was a great knee-kick that sent Leko down, but he got up again, and Andy won the fight on points. But never the less... Great technique from the best fighter ever in the world!!!!!

Uhheee, Andy getting KO is never nice to look at!!!! I rather see Nightmare on Elmstreet or a fake K-1 Vs Pride fight. Dont look at the picture, just forget it, ok............ LOL
Oliver- so who is your supplier?
Paul- I like your picture of the ref in the Gurkan Ozkan Vs Daniel Tai picture. He kinda looks like the butler from The Adam's Family.
Hehe, thank's Vince. I like to try and frame for the ref as well, sometimes they're the guys who make a photograph all the more complete. Unless they're blocking the view off course. The ref's name is Dave Hedgecock, who used to be a pretty big time fighter I think a few years ago here in Aus.
He's actually an excellent ref at not getting in the way. A couple of the newer guys are a nightmare to work around. Some refs sort of like to cruise continuously like Dave, but others like to hang around in a favorite corner.
,
This Susumi guy is brilliant Oliver, but I think I like the Black and White pic the best. The sign is a nice touch of Amsterdam.
hehe Vince, I thought about commenting on him too. Plus he is in another State i think that the fights going on...just a different style I guess. :)
Is this better Oliver?
Hey, once upon a time, wasn't AX going to feature a photo gallery, among other things, like a technique section? Just remembering way back. Is that something the site should develop, or would it take away from the message board?
Ya, a picture gallery was started, but then some people started posting pictures with parts exposed. :o)

Vince,
The ref in the picture of Ozkan - Tai is Dave Hedgecock - a bona fide legend mate.
Sid Remmer:
LOL LOL LOL LOL !!!!!!!!!! Yes, that is much better. Great humor Sid.
It would be really great to see some of Dave Hedgecock's fight video's.
Another Picture. One of my favorite MT fighters. Actually 'absolute favorite' MT fighter, Daniel Dawson in yellow V Keogh from this years super 8. Daniel doesn't miss many opportunities.
whoops,
I uploaded the wrong pic.
Meant to be this one.
Yeeaaahh, where is the reff??
LOL!
Ladies and gentleman, the referee has left the building!
Hehe, don't know.
Daniel might have knocked him over.
Here's Daniel using Boxer/Kickboxer Sam Soliman to cushion his landing.
Who is the man to the left in the black shirt, and what is he doing?? Maybe he is pointing in the direction where the reff. last was seen... LOL!
A caption for the above photo could be:
'Tell me you love it, you know you love it, Who's ya Daddy who's ya Daddy!!!"
Whoops, sorry - wrong website.
This is the first time I see a "69" with gloves - LOL!!!!
But ok... Better safe than sorry!
This is my favorite picture from last years Super 8 eliminator.
MT legend 'John' Wayne Parr left V Kiwi Shane 'Choppa' Chapman in the final fight, which Chapman won on points. Decision was a little controversial in most fight forums.
I have a huge 30X20 inch print rolled up that I'm going to take along this weekend and hopefully get signed by Chapman, whom is fighing in the K1 Max semi final.
Checked out your gallery. Good stuff. Looks in the above that chapman is a bit larger than JWP, what is the weight limit for the k-1 max. And are you planning on putting up pics of the k-1 max, and if so let Ax know.
Awesome pics everyone. Keep 'em coming!!!
Nobody,
Thanks.
I'm not really sure about Chapman's height compared to Wayne's. But both guys are pretty tall for Middleweights, Chapman does look taller in the picture even considering the fact that he's on his toes. He must be one of the fittest looking guys that I have ever met.
I'm pretty certain that the weight limit is 72 kg. Solak is also going to be holding K.O league soon for the 75kg guys. I'm actually really looking forward to that one. There is a lot of guys here between 72 and 78 that are such brillian atheletes, and hopefully the 75 kilo mark should be achievable for most.
Yes, I'm going to be shooting for sure. I know use digital, so it's just a matter of re-sizing for the net. Which is only a couple of hours work, compared to the 20 or so it used to take me to scan. Pictures should all be up by late Monday Afternoon, so drop bye and take a look guys if you get the chance. If the card is unchanged from advertised, it should be at least as good as the annual Super- 8 shows that Kelly Seif puts on. Fingers crossed for them all to be there.
Shitty pic above with no faces, but the guy pictured on the right is Warren Elson fighting Diamond Dale Westernan (sp). Not exactly sure of his fight weight, but he couldn't be too far off 72kg, maybe 74 or 75. Man, this guy is a great fighter, really tall, and he is so bloody good at kneeing. He was such a nightmare for Westernan (who is a legend) to fight.
Shot is from a super-fight also from last years Super-8. Dale Westernan announced his retirement after this fight.
In those Daniel pics...wheres the ref or whats he doing? :)
Cool I cant wait !!! Why cant the US get on the bandwagon. I want a middleweight k-1 !!!
Mark,
The ref really was doing a good job, those pictures of the Dawson V Keogh fight were taken within a split second. The ref was probably just out of frame which could have been less than a metre away.
cool, it just looks funny. Of course a pic can say a thousand words but many times we aren't clear on the language.
I am really hoping to start judging and reffing. Its not really a big interest but I don't see very many people with MuayThai experiance or a MuayThai style of reffing when they ref MuayThai. I think I can do a good job and want to try. Needless to say as I learn, practice I am also always looking at refs. Especially Thai refs and trying to see what they do. I've seen it plenty but sometimes I try to focus on that as I hope it will help me.
Basically I'm looking at refs more than I normally would.
OLIVER AND PAUL TOP PICS: KEEP EM COMING GUYS ! hey what rules the "missing" ref: ones ! / a little dispute surely ?? re: the knee attack when fighter had one hand on the floor etc: ! cheers ! what happened ? disqualified ? ta sandy man holt u.k.m.t.a

Sandy,
I probably shouldn't have posted the pic where the fighter was on both knees. What had actually happened was Dawson gave Keogh the first knee, and was going to give him one more on the way down, but must have realized and quickly slowed it down to barely a rub. Pic is a bit decieving.

SANDY HOLT :
?????????????????????????????????????
OLIVER ?????????????? hi buddy !
a simple question ? why do you call it a KNEE-KICK ?? which is it ?? a knee ! ? or kick ? or punch ? elbow ! are "ALL" just called by a single name ! why a KNEE-KICK ?? there is no KICK ?? not being funny with you ! just a question ? cause you wouldnt call it a ELBOW-PUNCH ?
hey keep up the top pics: cool ! nice one ! cheers sandy man holt u.k.m.t.a
www.thaiboxing.co.uk
Sandy:
If you kick someone with your knee, well... I guess that is why I called it a knee-kick. (That is what we are calling it here in Denmark) Just like if you hit someone with your fist or elbow, then you call it for a elbow or fist punch. If you just say knee or elbow, then you are just talking about a part of the body, but not about kicking or punching.
If I told you that Nicholas Pettas kick Jerome in the face, then you will think, was it a circle kick, a kick with his foot or a with his knee??? But if I told you that Pettas hit Jerome with a powerful knee-kick, you will exact know how he got hit and what kind of technique Pettas used to KO him.
Am I wrong or do my English suck's big time??????? Do you get my point?
Many people use it that way but it sounds funny to me.
When I started reading about 'knee kick' I was gonna joke about saying 'elbow punch' but i guess you say that too.
I think knee can be a verb and there for doesn't need kick with it. But everywhere is different.
One of the funniest ones I heard was a 'leg kick'(meaning kicking with the leg) could be a high kick even but still called a leg kick. It took me awhile to figure that out. I think the guy kicks the other guy in the body and they say 'nice leg kick'. ???????
hehe language is funny from place to place and to me 'knee kick' and 'elbow punch' sound funny.
I don't know that i could say its wrong though.
Hey just have just revamped my website and have new pics of me and Leuyer on there. Check it out and let me knw what you think by emailing me. going to really get it going with about a 200 meg hosting site and plenty of pics. Mostly of my fights but also of others. I have 2-3 guys fighting tonite so I will get some pics of them fighting as well.

leg kick as opposed to what, a hand kick? getting silly now, hehe
thats what knee kick sounds like to me too...well not as bad :)
I mean a knee is a knee, right? :)
hey Oliver thanks for the explanation ! hey Mark a leg kick is what says ! a KICK to the leg ! ie: as we call them in ENGLAND a LOW KICK ( usually pertains to a roundhouse kick to the thigh ) as its simpler to use in commentary and pics: / mags, reports etc: somethings have to be abreviated so your right about the ELBOW-PUNCH ? no such thing ?? and a KNEE-KICK no such thing ( sorry Oliver you have to tell ALL Denmark ! no such thing ? its SIMPLY a KNEE ) as you would say in a `fight` a front kick, say to the body ! ? ( a front knee or a side knee ? or a jumping front ? / side ? knee !
a left hook to ? the face ? body ?
a knee to the head ? / body ?
a elbow to the nose ? body ?
a ??? kick to the legs ? body ? head ?
you DONT need to say a KNEE KICK ?? thats "2" strikes !!!!!! a knee and a kick !
2 seperate weapons ! YES ? ! As with what me and Mark are saying ! you cant have an elbow-punch ?? there are 4 main weapons 2 sides = the `8` striking main weapons of muay-thai-boxing ! ( the art and science of `8` limbs muay-thai )
AND BY THE WAY OLIVER YOUR ENGLISH IS VERY GOOD !!
plus its about 5,00000000000 times better than my DANISH ! buddy ! cheers ! just drop the "kick" ! BUT keep the top pics: coming ! thanks sandy man holt u.k.m.t.a

LOL
I agree that knee kick sounds funny. Isn't knee a verb as well? You can say to knee right?
What does kick mean technically?
Well the dictionary I just looked in says it relates to foot. So the Thai style of kicking(with the shin in most cases) isn't even a kick, though I think we can all agree that that is the best word for it. Now that being said, the knee being a kick is really a stretch.
Knee is not in this dictionary as a verb. So a 'knee kick'(since we have no word for it) could be the best bet...technically.
But words change and with in sports there are their own words and MuayThai certainly isn't a hugely popular, language changing sport(as yet).
So regardless I think knee is fine for knee. I still think knee kick sounds funny.
Does anyone have any good woman's professional fight pictures they could post here.
