dreaming mate! i hope they dont try and set this up before pac man, that would add another 7 months on to the fight and i bet they have both peaked/peaking already, its a fight that really must happen! i think it would be a massive loss to boxing if it doesnt. im my life time there has never been such intrest in a fight atleast what i can remember

Mayweather is waiting for Pacman to become past it before he fights him.

What a stupid comment.
You realise that they are aging at the same rate right?

Isnt mayweather older with 0 losses? Pac 2 draws 3 losses and got sparked in the 3rd about 10 fights back

Let Khan fight Marquez first . I think everyone disses Khan because of his loss against Prescott and his 'tude, but he is a skilled boxer. world class? maybe , we will see.

Well i'd like to see both Mayweather vs Pacman and/or Khan.

I think Pacman may outpoint Mayweather, though i only think that Khan has a puncher's chance.

Time will tell i am sure, but both would be interesting fights.

And LeeJonesJnr, you missed my point. I think Pacman is at his peak now, may even be just coming out of it now, yet Mayweather seems to still be at his peak. That is what i meant by 'past it', nothing to do with age.

As far as losses go - how many of the 'legends' have had losses in their career?

i dont think its just losses or wins that define whether a legend or not , its how and when those wins and losses come..who is the biggest boxing legend? ali...ali seems to be a paradox becuase he was beaten and battered and should have lost a few , did lose a few and eventually lost his final fights and still the all time legend.

Lewis dominated his division for ages , no one considers him a legend even though i reckon he had the best jab of any heavyweight.

Hatton went unbeaten lost his final 2 badly, he was a legend, but no one speaks of him in hallowed tones anymore.

Tyson ended up being beaten by a few bums, taken apart by Lewis and is still a legend.

Duran , no mas , a legend, Leonard the same..

Khan will never be treated as a legend imo.

Manny will , Floyd might not...

just my thruppence

Mayweather would beat both, but I think khan has more of a chance being orthodox and these days he doesnt get hit as much as he use too

Good point Hawkman and i mostly agree.

A lot of the 'legends' are also because they had some recognisable trait about them - Ali's rhymes, shuffle, hand speed.. Tyson's ferociousness and power for his size, not least the youngest heavyweight world champ.. Foreman because of his size and power, etc, etc.

I can't see Mayweather being labelled a legend for some reason, although there is skill in him he just lacks something of appeal, to me.

i maybe had khan sneaking this but can understand why LP got the nod.Khan still has bad habits such as a high chin when throwing his power shots he still doesnt have a decent hook so he lands alot of punches on the opponents arms he tends to run away instead of boxing on the backfoot wich the american judges will hate but worst of all he just doesnt hide pain very well he always seems to look badly hurt with normal punches wich the all the top class fighters do really well you would not know if they were hurt. Maybe khan has found his level because freddie roache has had hm for a longtime now. Think he will win a rematch tho

khan is nowhere near good enough to be a legend.......

khan has good speed and power etc but if mayweather was landing the shots peterson was landing from the 3rd round the fight would have been over by end of round 3 i think. mayweather normally wears opponents down but khan would be out of there early with his high chin and bravado trying to prove he has a chin:)

was khan stitched up by the bloke who keeps talking to the judge ringside in that video?
shiv17

Stitched up or not he made Peterson look good. Khan reached his level and all this 'mystery man' stuff is covering over the fact that he isn't at the level he thinks he is and the promotional team are scared the gravy train might I have come to a halt. Khan v Mayweather - he doesn't deserve to share the ring with Mayweather.

Every fighter meets somebody who makes them look average. Styles make fights, lets not look to far into his loss to Peterson. Still has plenty of work to do, but he is still young. This loss will be good for him, put him back in line and forget about Mayweather.

Mayweather won't fight Khan not after the loss to Peterson. It will look like another easy picked opponent.

Khan fighting Mayweather is more of a possibility than most people think. Not because he is good enough to fight him but because of all the others with their fingers in the pies that surround the event.

I think Khan will beat Peterson this time round even though he doesn't deserve the chance yet to fight for the title. He's made himself look like a spoilt brat kicking and screaming wanting his belts back. He really doesn't have a good image America at the moment.
