Topic:Looking For Fighters For March 2012 Semi Pro Show
Looking for fighters for March 2012 semi pro show in Surrey.
Hi Guy's I know it's quite far away but I'm just getting started on planning my first promotion of a semi pro/unlicensed boxing show. I want the bouts to all be well matched so I am planning on getting to as many gyms as possible to take a look at potential fighters, I want to put on an evening of really well matched, competitive boxing, not any of those clear mismatches you see so often. If anyone has any fighters they think would be available then get in touch. My email is antfrank@live.co.uk
Slight change of plan for the show in March.
The first part of the show will be made up of white collar bouts, mainly inexperienced fighters, with the second part featuring more experienced unlicensed bouts.
Below is a list of guys who have never fought but have expressed an interest in being on the show:
35 year old weighing 64kg
36 year old weighing 77kg
20 year old weighing 92kg
30 year old weighing 84kg
all the above have never fought and the weights are their current weight so they may come down slightly as they are just begging to train.
I am also looking for someone to take on an ex pro who had about 25 bouts winning 4, tough journey man, he hasn't been in the ring since Jan 2009, but would need a decent opponent as I'd like to make this fight the main event, maybe 6-8 rounds. his Current weight is 76kg.
This is a charity boxing event being held on the 23rd March all proceeds from the show go to the charity "help for heros".
If anyone has any fighters that they think may be suitable please get in touch, antfrank@live.co.uk.
Get in touch with Pete Jackson of the BBU mate, always helped me out in the past:

Don't know if you've promoted before but you're best matching local fighters against local fighters, this way you can put all the fighters on a ticket-only deal, and sell more for the event without having to pay a purse to away fighters.
Thanks for the advice "ActionPromo's" This is my first attempt at promoting a show and I really appreciate any advice. The proceeds of the show will be going to a superb charity (Help for Heroes) so I obviously would like to keep the costs as low as possible.
Thanks again
