McGowan and Sewell in BKK

Best of luck to 2 of our best up and coming fighters in the next week Daniel McGowan and Ricky both 16yrs old from Liams Robinsons gym, Northampton..both have fights in Bangkok Theyve been training at Kaiyanghaadao Gym alongside Saenchai, Nong Ao, Sarm-A....
First up is Ricky in MBK on Wednesday 8th and then Daniel fights at Lumpinee on Saturday 11th both against Thai's..... Dan's fight is on T-Sport channel so if anyone can help me with info on some streaming links I would be really grateful!! Anyone in BKK on these days please get along and give them a cheer!!

Just like to say im so proud of them!! Two of the nicest and dedicated lads you'll find (although im slightly biased lol) who im sure they will do UK Muay Thai proud no matter what!!

Lol at Pom Deng!!
They're both from The Bedford area so to be honest the Northampton truency officer probably won't loose to much sleep about them!! But just for the record Both lads have been well supported by they're respective schools!!

Just been told that Ricky lost on points 49-47...dropped the Thai in the 1st round but the Thai came back into it and was bit to strong in clinch!!
Great experience gained and sure it won't be to long before he is back to winning ways!! Much Love Beiber

Hard luck Ricky. Hope you got lots from the fight. The loss doesn't matter at all particularly not at this stage of your career - but the experience does. These challenging fights will prove to be important in forging you into the exceptional fighter you can become - hope you enjoyed the fight and the experience mate. Good luck to Dan.

its all good because the boss said if Daniel fights like that he will go to his car and get his gun and shoot him

Was a good performance because he was losing going into the 4th, the other boxer was fast and Dan struggled to counter but he really stepped it up in the last 2 rounds and put pressure on the other lad which tired him. I know Dan was tired but he showed great heart and dug real deep. There was no pressure anyway only Sarm-A and Nong-O in corner and with Prakaisaeng getting chinned for Lumpini title earlier that day if Dan would have lost the boss would have destroyed him haha

Both lads sound a credit to their coaches and gyms Liam well done to everyone who has helped in their development.

If they can keep fighting over there like the French lads do then we may see our first UK Lumpinee champion, how cool would that be:)

Brilliant result, well done Dan and Liam. Particularly impressive given Dan had to come back from behind.

We definitely haven't had UK Lumpinee champs in the past but the future looks bright.

Congrats to everyone involved - sounds like a briliant trip and great experience for the lads - you should all be very proud as Im sure you've probably done this out of your own pockets too...its a shame theres no support there.
