Sandy Holt

Often this is said as the body kick scores more...ok we get that !
But how many have disputed it in last decade? esp: when the fors and against debates in Muay Thai Scoring arguments !!

Nobodies disputing a low kicks effectiveness, I'm pretty sure its about the difficulty to land a body kick than to land a low kick that makes it score higher.

I didn't know you can score in an Interclub?

lol no the pic of the bruise is from an interclub, they are meaning the difference in scoring between legkicks and body/headkicks

Sandy, both examples used were stoppages. Low kick are very effective if you stop you opponent or give 8 counts. Do you have an example where someone only kicked to the legs and won without giving there opponent an 8count or stoppage?

Lol Sandy,I like that one.
I just dont like Inter clubs Sandy(exept for kids) Iv seen and heard of what can be classed as bullying go on at them.

As for the bruised legs I dont like to see that either especially at what should be a controlled enviroment.

Just my opinion Sandy:)

i had a female PT hold pads for some low kicks the other day. she lasted 2 kicks. one low power the other medium. she didnt want full. womens legs do bruise a lot easier than men and they dont carry as much muscle mass as they do fat on the legs. its the way they are designed to distribte adipose tissue differently to us. also be careful with them as their femur is longer but not as dense and positioned a a different angle to ours! i reckon low kicks are the best weapon at range there is. nothing hurts like a good low kick (except for a knee to the solar plexus). also if you ever get in bother with an idiot, they do not expect the low kick and it overloads such a mass of nerve endings that they often collapse.
that brusiing is horrendous!!!

Hawkman, I think a kick to the T-Pot would hurt more than a low kick IMO.

Ive seen plenty of people shrug off a kick in the knackers. Either they're drunk, off their tits on intravenous drugs or just so jacked high on adrenaline that they dont notice.

Actively causing the quad muscles to spasm, contract and go into shock is a much more reliable way imo

lol a e yopu guys and ref: interclub paul p ? yes 90% for Kids and 10% adults to keep them going and fighhters to keep off the rust and for adults whom will NEVER ever do a fight and its their next best thing ( its there chance to shine in a small way in a small gym show)

and lol whose her trainer?
who ya think?

she did her her first interclub and failed to block 90% of the leg kicks ! even with 101% of us screaming to block, plus she is a lady / adult who is the type that bruises brushing pastsome1
but it wasnt as sore as it looked ! she was training on it 2 days after the interclub ! yes INTERCLUB
wasnt a heavy spar either !

You've just counteracted your own argument sandy, that's exactly why leg kicks dont score unless the show visible effect during the fight 'it wasn't as bad as it looks' and she was back training two days later!!
Sandy Holt

Body kicks are assumed to have effect as this is the home of the major organs.... Low kicks do score, but you do need to see effect.
