David profile or not why am I not entitled to my opinion? I have seen yourself and michael blood fight and i feel he will beat you there was no malice or dis-respect intended it is just what I think will happen as will many others no doubt ,but you seem to dismiss my thoughts as I have no profile, I don't say your opinion doesn't matter because everyone has there own opinions and are entitled to express them. If Liam Harrison or someone very well known in Thai circles said that they thought you would get beaten would they not be entitled to say that aswell? 555555

Muaythaiwarrior-Well seeing as Michael has told Dave Mcrobb that he categorically doesnt want to fight him then the point is mute anyway.Mcrobb is more than happy to fight Michael. Id draw your own conclusions about that and then fill in your profile and tell us all about them!
rob mitchell
Posted: 2012-08-28 15:04:28
I have e.mailed all the above involved i.e Dave and Matt and told them why he dont want to fight Dave at this stage?? He only interested in fighting the big names or anyone up and coming at the mo and dont think fighting Dave will do his career any good win or lose???
So its lose lose situation for Mike??

I actually advised mike not to take the fight also, we have had several other options we wish to pursue for mike at the end of the year. I do have an idea though Dave, as we rarely get to fight off the island to compete, how about you fight mike on one of your shows in the near future, and we would happily have you over for a re-match in Jersey. Let me know what you think.....
Muaythai warrior
Posted: 2012-08-28 15:27:15
Well David is not in the same league as McCormick, Robinson etc and brad Stanton that is for sure. I agree if Michael blood wants to fight the best and reach the top then fighting mr mcrobb is non beneficial i think the fight would be a big step up for david in calibre of opponents, but as I don't have a profile I more than likely don't know what I am talking about.

Steven long vs Michael blood ? Steven is undefeated I do believe and making a name for himself
David Mc
Posted: 2012-08-28 15:41:01
Steven Long is very much undefeated but fights at 69Kilos maybe one to think of in the future if we decide Steven can fight lighter.
Chris Dolbel Jersey
I would defo condider that option we are looking at new venues in the next two weeks so i will be in touch.
Muay Thai Warrior no offence was taken but if I fought big names and got beaten would that put me in the same league?
David Mc
Posted: 2012-08-28 15:42:50
Please any one reading this I have nothing against Michael Blood he's a gent and so are the crew in Jersey this is in no way personnel.
rob mitchell
Posted: 2012-08-28 16:06:55
Mike only gets to compete twice a year for where we live so any bout he does take we want it to 'make a differnce to his career' so that we can hopfully get more offers abroad ?
There is no point in taking the fight with Dave mate?
No offence Dave?
matthew goulden
Posted: 2012-08-28 17:09:39
I fail to see why Dave Mcrobb doesnt make sense to you guys.Whats Michaels record? We should then compare that to Daves! How many losses is Mike coming off now?

Im sure Mcrobb will definately put this fight on his show though so its all good.Hope Michael will be happy taking the fight in those circumstances?

Brad Stanton is really good, so I hope Mike doesnt lose to him or you will seriously have to look at Mikes level of future opponants. On paper Mcrobb is far more experienced and has had far more fights than Stanton (so far) So Dave could easily see a fight with Mike as a big step down himself?!
Muaythai warrior
Posted: 2012-08-28 17:29:48
What calibre of fighters have David fought though u could have a hundred fights on paper but if they are against nobodys then then it is hardly a test and you are not bettering yourself
David Mc
Posted: 2012-08-28 17:34:47
Muay Thai Warrior who are you takes seconds to complete a profile why wouldn't you?
They have said they will come over and make the match in the uk thats all good with me.
rob mitchell
Posted: 2012-08-28 17:38:21
Matt you have my number there is no need to go through all this on here??
I know what your trying to do mate.
Mike's only losses are to Thomas Mc for ISKA British title 4 years ago and that could of gone either way as mike won rounds 3/4 and fight got stopped in 5th as kick off in crowd?
Tim Thomas World title fight and going into the 5th it was 2 rounds each ? and European title vs Liam Robinson? and that was very close also? not to mention mike went in to that fight unable to kick pads leading up to fight 'as you know' through injury?
So Mike can hold his own and proved he can with some of the best in the Uk,so Like i said mate at this stage of his career what has he got to gain from fighting Dave mate??
matthew goulden
Posted: 2012-08-28 17:40:14
I get what your saying about the "on paper" bit but what high calibre fighters has Mike actually beaten? To reiterate what Mcrobb said, if Dave goes and loses to Mcormack, Thomas, Liam Robinson etc will all those losses make him good enough to fight Mike?

Also like I said in my previous post Mcrobb will no doubt be more than happy to put this fight on his show so the point is mute.Chris Dolbel has basically said Mike will be more than happy to fight Dave if hes brought over to the UK.So the fights on just at a later date, so the discussion is now also mute!Cant wait to see it be a good matchup!
rob mitchell
Posted: 2012-08-28 17:46:55
I have no idea why Chris made that statement mate as from what i gather Mike turned the fight down flat??
But like i said mate im not against it?
But totally understand why he did??
matthew goulden
Posted: 2012-08-28 17:55:41
rob- Im more than happy to admit what Im trying to do, Daves a good mate, and a good match for Mike as Mike hasnt been doing very well of late, regardless of the calibre of fighter hes fighting.I emailed you before you commented on here you must not have seen it?I wouldnt have said anything but mauythai warrior put his 2penorth in and Daves my mate.I would like to see that fight and its all good cause it will be happening on Daves show.Dave puts on very well run, profesional shows, much like your own in that respect.Mikes a great feller and all you guys are great guys no doubt.
Muaythai warrior
Posted: 2012-08-28 17:58:39
Well McCormick Robinson are two of the best in uk and tnt is uk no 1 and world class yes blood lost but if it is true they were very close fights he is holding his own with these guys and blood doesn't get to fight often. Michael is fighting Stanton who is a future uk no1 world class fighter and I personally think Stanton will win blood has lost but has fought the top level fighters in uk who has David fought that comes close to their level ?
rob mitchell
Posted: 2012-08-28 18:03:20
Best of luck with it mate! i disagree about Mike 'not' doing that well lately mate,he has fought some of the top names in the Uk and done well despite the result - going in to the last fight with an injury may or may not have made a differnce in the outcome but he wasnt on form mate but dont wanna come all that on here!
Any way mate im off to walk kids to school its fckn boiling here, then chill out by the pool lol!! see you sept bud!
Muaythai warrior
Posted: 2012-08-28 18:05:07
As for my 2penorth as u put it I made 1 comment earlier and as always on here if people see someone's opinion on here and they don't like then that person doesn't count and knows nothing..
matthew goulden
Posted: 2012-08-28 18:08:08
didnt see the mcormack fight so cant comment, the other 2 werent very close but he did well lasting against them.Tim thomas has certianly knocked out far better opponants than Mike quicker than he knocked mike out!The fight with Liam Robinson went the distance and Mike did a good job of trying to elbow him to death but Liam comfortably won that fight, easily outpointing him.Im sure Mcrobb would welcome the opportunity to lose to all those people also!Especially if those losses promote his MT career to higher calibre fithers!
rob mitchell
Posted: 2012-08-28 18:11:57
Why dont Dave fight top names then mate??
Not that i give a toss?? its mikes decision mate - he fighting Willie Dempster anyway mate
and mike didnt get KO by Tim he got stopped about 10 secs from the bell with suspected broken arm?? Mike would of prob won that if he didnt get stopped??
stop the Bollox mate you must ghave somthing better to do??
matthew goulden
Posted: 2012-08-28 18:14:26
But when you say I feel that such and such will easily beat such and such its impossible for people not to take that slightly personally isnt it, whether you intend to offend or not? When you say fighting you doesnt do my career anygood at all, then at the level of Mike and Dave its easy to see how someone might be offended, whether you mean it or not!

Also up to you whether u fill in a profile or not, I couldnt care less but when your profile less and put up opinions it leads people, maybe unfairly, to assume your stirring or speaking out of turn.
matthew goulden
Posted: 2012-08-28 18:18:24
ok Rob my bad it looked like hed got sparkoed to me didnt know that, but get those fights on youtube and let other see, and see if everyone agrees with your reading of the fights.Casue honestly Tim Thomas fight wsnt close.Nor should it have been Tim Thomas is a class act.

and good point Rob maybe Mcrobb should fight some big name high calibre fighters?Think thats why h wanted to fight mike to prve he can take that step up
Muaythai warrior
Posted: 2012-08-28 18:32:48
So Matthew earlier u said David was taking a step down down because of his fights on paper and in your last comment you have said you think David wants to fight Michael to prove he can make the step up? Make your mind up,
If the fight does come off on one of the teeside shows I will be more than willing to have a good wager with you if you are interested?

Mate any comments i made above is my personal opinion on Mikes past fights just like yours is? just an opinion? like i mentioned before thats why we have 3 judges? your opinion def is no more authorised more then mine?
Im not gonna sit here and go through the in's and outs but i can and we have had in our one to one discussions,im not here to bring anyone else in to this discussion which is gonna happen? you have my number and we have discussed this already so whats all this bollox?
Dave your an absolute gent for not getting involved here but also i have contacted you direct about it? I am more then happy for the fight to go a head but if Mike dont want it- he dont want it?
and it certainly is nothing to do with your credentials mate and Matt knock it on the head mate eh?
and no 'muay thai warrior' is no-one we know mate as you implied in your last text to me? just another person with his or her own opinion??

Going forward... Mike is a gent, top bloke in and outside the sport, i have an opponent for him Sam Omomogbe has a good record and has stopped some good guys, just this date is not convenient for us but in future will try get him over for that bout if you guys are up for that one? He only has 2 losses, one against Salah who we would like a rematch with and 1 against Soloman who he rematched and beat, he is deffo up there with stanton etc.

"he got stopped about 10 secs from the bell with suspected broken arm?? Mike would of prob won that if he didnt get stopped" - I didn't think Mike would have won.. I knocked him down for an 8 count in round 1 or 2 and was matching him for kicks and in the clinch.. Anyways Michael is sound and a good fighter, deffo doesn't get the exposure or fights he deserves.. I'm sure if he did he would be up there with the best. Good Luck Mike those Jersey boys are good lads. Hope you get a good match-up and a good win.. :)

Sandy Holt - you having a pop at me with that last comment???!!!!!!

agree fully with Timpson.Based on the dvd of the fight I watched, Tim Thomas won every round with great ease. That said I also agree he desereves more fights in UK if possible and they're all good lads.

Its funny all this about mikes career and step ups and step downs etc, last time I spoke with him face to face he said to me he wasnt bothered either way who he fought, only did it for a bit of fun and didnt take it at all seriously, training or fighting?Must have had a change of heart on that, fair play.
