Apparently Dean Sugden has agreed for his son Chad to fight Tyler Shakespeare for £20k winner takes all.
Big news if it actually goes ahead.

Not quite Lee. Fact is I asked for the fight Dean said Chad was busy at the time offered. I then offrred to go to him on his show. He then said only if it was for £20k £10 k each man winner takes all. I said I couldn't afford that but hey presto, lets go for it so we agreed. All we have to agree on now is the finer points.
2113 looks to be possibly quite good for F/C if Dean really wants the fight

lets hope it gets sorted and sets a bench mark for fc . fighters of this standarf should be able to achieve decent reurn on there talent and time preparing.

Neutral show is the fairest place to avoid any biased decisions but no promototer in the world will put up £20k

So unless each camp go to wonga.com and put there £10k down ain't gonna happen

Tyler needs to prove himself as a pro as it stands he's behind Chad if I were NMA I would not entertain it too much to lose for little gain

Catch up John I am happy for this fight to take place on Deans next show. Not that I wanted it too, this fight would have topped my next fight very nicely and had punters lining up to buy tickets. But its important the fight happens so Deans it is.

As you have seen chad grow as a profesional k-1 fighter and not FC. Both boys have some great wins under there belt and are heading in to 2013 full of confidence !!

If this fight gose ahead predict more than fire works and I don't see a need for a neutural show if Tyler has kindly offerd to fight at kellham hall .

Don't take my post as negative it's based upon 2012 alone from a neutral position

If it happens its a great fight both have been active over last 12 months but Chad has done more in the last 12 months

Neither has any thing to prove against the other but Chad has the least to gain or prove from it

Iv had the privelige of seeing both lads grow I feel Chad has the advantage where ever the fight takes place

Either way both deserve a big payday just a shame it has to come out of the lads pockets

Tylor has not found anyone to test him yet. He's looked great in every fight I,ve seen him in and easily beat Sam Allen.

Seen both of them fight and Chad has done brilliantly last year and still so young. K1 suiting him and where his future lies surely. More money in it to.

I am so excited by the prospect of this fight as I imagine a great many are. I have not ever before seen the like of a fight of this magnatude before in full contact but am very optimistic of the deal being done. F/C needs this and it will certainly br an epic fight with two of the sports excepttionally talented stars.

at markgibbs Tylor has not found anyone to test him yet? i heard ryan lyall tested him and in some peoples eyes beat him in a close fight not to long ago would like to see a rematch with them to maybe on ryans next show after the one in feb

Chris, Ryan turned up to the fight with Tyler with his A game. Tyler on the other hand didn't really turn up. That said Ty still won but agree with you Ryan did more than enough to deserve another crack at it, and as I told Gregg on the night Ty would be only to pleased to defend that title against Ryan on his show, at Ryans request dates of course being agreeable.

Im guessing this fight is only happening as there was a disagreement between Dean and Alan which is kinda wrong and im guessing there will be some baiting going on between the both of them to whom son is the best. I have always liked dean and i like what he stands for. As much as i like tyler cant help but get the feeling his dad is gonna mess things up for him. The whole telling tales of sparring with Tyler and Scott Taylor really put him across as someone that nobody could trust:)

As per usual you are so wide of the mark its untrue. It's clear you have no knowledge of the background behind this fight and are allowing previous preducices to make 1 and 1 add up to 2. My disageement with Dean in no way deminish my respect for him. As a coach and manager or Chad as an excellent fighter. That said it does not mean I have to agree with everything he does or he I. As for pitting Tyler with Chad to appease my own ego, I would say grow up I don't have one.

Does it matter the reason behind the fight, it's a bloody good match-up that i am sure most in the FC world would like to see, and the fact that the money was brought into it makes it exceptional.

Why would both party's put 10k each on the line in this fight instead of both just getting a good purse for a good fight? Both promotors also no way can a kelham hall or urselfs fit a fight of this price in your budget. Fair play and sugar coat all u like but no way is it coincidence u 2 disagree and now u put up 20k winner takes all fight . I also don't feel a 4 fight pro in Tyler or an 18 year old who is a novice pro FC fighter is worth that kind of money. Just my opinion and I like both as fighters for the record

Jamie you are welcome to your opinion and some would agree.Let me promise you this I offered for Tyler at Tylers request to fight Chad at Kelham for nothing more than ticket comission, it was Chad who himself came up with the 10k each man, and i honesty I didn't think we could meet the challenge financially but we have a d fair play to Chad he obviously is confident, so is Ty. The fight was a great fight anyway the money just makes Deans boast of his fight seriez even more purposefull, he calls it History In the Making This time it will be.

Totally agree, I see the full contact fight as pointless and although you guys are saying that its not about a fall out why else would the both of you risk 10 grand each( especially alan who isnt even lining the pockets with it being home show) . keep you money, put it on a neutral show k1 or move on. If its full contact and say chad got beat it only adds fuel to the fire with there being excuses of it not being chads prefered discipline.

I can't understand people on Ax. This is great for FC. An offer was made, terms proposed, terms met, and what looks like a cracking fight, yet people are seemingly nay saying.... Maybe one fighter is doing k1 but does that mean he has to turn his back n FC? After all Thai fighters don't turn their back on Thai when they take K1 fights do they?

Easy. He thinks he will win and isn't currently earning £10k per fight.

I don't really know much about Tyler and only seen Chad fight K1 rules so I'm gonna sit on the fence as far as predictions go.

Wish both teams the best of luck and I think it's already certain that the fight is gonna be a right tear up. 20k is a he'll of a motivating factor!!!!

Cam 2010. Let me explain again, its got nothing to do with the disagreement I currently have with Dean FACT!
When were considering whom Tyler would like to fight on our Show on March 24th at the Ramada Tyler asked to fight Chad.
I offered what most would consided a good financial deal to Dean for the fight especially for F/C Suggesting a 6x 2 pro match, also allowing the option of Tyler defending his British title if Chad and Dean so wished. Dean then told us Chad was due to fight on the 23rd so that they could not meet our offer. FAIR ENOUGH.
In an attempt to make this fight Ty then offered to fight on Deans second show later this year. We were then told that too would not be possible. FAIR ENOUGH
Then Dean offered us the fight on his first show this year18th of May and that the fight should be winner take all for 10k a man because Tyler had suggested on Face book because Chad was so apparently used to bigger wages, if he were confident of winning the fight he could have Tylers purse too.
However like myself Tyler believed winner take all meant the promoter puts up two purses one for each fighter and the winner gets both.
Dean tells me it was Chads ida to put up 10k because he says that is what he is going to earn this year from his exploits in K1 and indeed what he had eaned last year.
SO THERE YOU HAVE IT NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH ANYTHING AT ALL BETWEEN DEAN AND MYSELF.
Except of course Dean will 100% confident Chad will emerge as the winner as I do belie e in Tyler.

Both lads want this fight more than anythink and for 10,000 of the queens english who wouldn't ! For those who are saying Tyler is a step back for chad buy a ticket to the show and I promise you will be proven wrong !! Yes chads last few fights have been k-1 but he was a kick boxer for x amount of years with titles coming out of every whole possible and with 4 months to train I'm sure he won't look like a k-1 fighter

SaXon gym are ready, still waiting for Newark to confirm, but should be ready to do that by the end of this week I am told. Then contracts will be signed one would hope, and hey were ready too rumble ( as they say )

Yes Lee it's off. Off before before it was ever on as I truely believe the Newark team were always just looking for a credible way of avoiding the fight from the off. It unfortunately highlights the failures of F/C in yet again two top fighters failing to meet, the money made people sit up and take notice but in truth the fight should have been the attraction in it's self. The speculation of this hyperthetical match certainly had Tylers mojo going and we as a gym done everything we could do to make it happen, trust me, more than anything anyone would ever had done, but unfortunately it takes two too tango and when it come down too it the opposition just was not up too the challenge.
Well back to my original plan for Tyler this year, news on that to follow.

Don't waste those 3 fights in FC move in K1 or some other sport that has something to offer

FC-UK is it actually worth the haste to be recognised by family and friends but to be a no one against the rest of sports

The fame and recognition is no more than a Sunday league player at best
