Smash 7 review. Please feel free to add your comments and we welcome your feedback
We staged 16 fights 4 days before Christmas, huge respect to all the fighters and gyms committing and training so hard right up to the end of the year and putting on a fantastic show. We thank you for your efforts.
Thanks to everyone who supported the show and helped make a great atmosphere in Liverpool, there were some absolutely fantastic fights that were very exciting to watch.
A huge thanks to everyone that worked on the show, the paid staff and the Volunteers who supported the staff in their roles which kept the event running smooth, without listing every single job :) We truly thank you all for such efforts on what is probably the busiest weekend of the year, we couldn't have done it with out you.
That brings to a close a very exiting first full year and in total 14 months since the Start of Smash Muaythai in September 2012 we have put on a total of 9 shows including 7 professional shows and 2 amateur events.
Since the Start of Smash Muaythai and Smash 1 the development and the speed of which this Fight series has grown has been amazing and largely down to the support and backing that we have had of the UK Muaythai Gyms, Coaches and Fighters.
In any project There will always be ups and downs, new things to try, and things to learn from so we will continue to develop what we are doing into 2014 and continue in our efforts to take Muaythai as a Sport to a whole new level.
We have some huge plans for 2014 so we will keep you all posted
Regards
Alex Forman
Smash Muaythai Series
I just wanted to thank Alex and Billy and all Smash Muay Thai team who put on a fantastic show. Neil and I were looked after amazingly well and thought the show was very well run. Always great to get up to Liverpool and spend some time there and it was an absolute honour to headline the show. Tanya and her team were really lovely and respectful and Tanya is a great fighter with heals of potential. Merry Christmas everyone. And thanks again Alex x
Was a great show - Alex, Chris and the whole Smash team did a great Job and the fights were all great.
Alexis v Tanya was a real war and Tanya was deeply honored by Alexis' words above.
Bekie Hodge finished her fight in style and IRS time to get her in the rankings at-59kg
Ameen having a great run now he's home and training properly last 3 wins all by stoppage against much bigger guys.
we are still in debate as to his fighting weight because he refuses to diet or cut to any extent. So far he's proved me wrong fighting top opponents at his walk around weight! nothinng planned for him until he's back from Thailand late March early April.
My two novices did great both 17 year olds gave a great show with Rahul winning on pts and Foyez feeling the power of a 'mans fist' on his chin for the first time!
a great night and we were looked after really well!
Happy Xmas to all involved x
