That is awesome Smiler! Gear is not a necessary component to a training regimen. It can get you there alot faster, but that is if it is done "clinically", which nobody seems to do. These juice freaks get their black market shit and start shoving inhumane amounts of it in their bodies because they want to be huge-NOW. They have no knowlege on it except for the crap that they hear from buddies that have taken anabolics. Another drawback is that it creates an environment for Hyperplasia(building NEW fiber) and increases protein synthesis which will put muscle on you, but does not guarantee that it is strong or fast. So, most athletes use it so that they don't have to work as hard. Big does not mean strong though. And we are more interested in srength right?
Aside from all of that, it is just not worth it. We get tested randomly. Let's say you get one of those random tests and test positive. Now all of that hard work that you endured to be at the level that you are is nullified because people now will think "oh, the only reason that he has done so well is because he cheated. You lose credibility. Not worth it at all!
