Martial Arts Bull-shitters can be a real problem.

I once knew an instructor that spent the best part of 3 weeks telling me that a really hideous girl from the gym fancied me and had been asking after me - he even went as far as to tell me he had passed on my mobile number to her.

Anyway, this all seemed to die down after a while as I was absent from training. When I came back, I was informed by a reliable source that the very same instructor had done a fake-back on me, and was now telling people that I had asked the girl in question out for a drink, and that she had turned me down.

Oh the shame.
