Interesting thought Scott...

In '92, Alexio fought Cikatic...and won controversially by a KO (or TKO?).
In '93, Cikatic won the K-1 Grand Prix tournament...Knocking out Ernesto Hoost in the finals...who knocked out Maurice Smith earlier in the tournament. If you were the type of person that thinks...
Fighter A beats Fighter B...
Fighter C beats fighter A...
then Fighter C can beat Fighter B

Then you could conclude that Alexio could've beaten Maurice and Ernesto back then. Obviously it's not that simple...but it does indicate that Alexio was certainly no slouch back then. Obviously Cikatic's most useful weapon is his power in his hands...as shown in the 93 K-1 GP...and Alexio is a boxing-oriented fighter...mainly an inside boxing oriented fighter...so his hands did nullify Cikatic's biggest weapon. It's a style thing. Maybe Ernesto's leg kicks would've ripped up Alexio if he went into K-1 93 GP. Who knows.
