Wow! do you guys have some memories of the early days of kickboxing
I wish I was able to remember some of the fights you have mentioned.
Sumbody promotions were top guys who promoted good shows
I will never forget when the ring came down from the ceiling I was judging on that night and looked around and said where is the ring? I think Benny the Jet was inside it when it came down....
The largest show in Sydney would have got to be Stan Vs Maurice Smith
at the entertainment Centre Sydney..
Alex Tui winning his Pro World Title against Kash Gill 1991 August (Ithink)
at the Homebush Staduim Promoter Marie Stratton who has now passed away.
Alex Tui Vs Hape Ngaronoa it was a draw excellent fight promoted by Marie Stratton.
Chris Cronis did a show at the Hordern Pavillon Sydney that was good
but I think Grant Barker did not show up that night.
MarkMay won World title off Gurkhan Ozkan Jez Promotions EG Whitlam Centre Liverpool Sydney West..
Alex Tui fought Darren Hedgcock in Melbourne Chris Cronis show I think
I have forgotten some of the dates.
Rick Kulu Vs Nick Talakiris would have to be the most courageous fight I have seen of the decade on Rick Kulu!s behalf I think that was on the under card of Stan The Man and Branko Cicatic.Nick Talakiris won that on pts.
