The try outs are an opportunity for athletes to expose themselves to K-1.

No doubt K-1 will provide opportunities for an "exceptional talent" but that doesn't nessessarily circumnavigate the elimination process - particularly with a grand prix event now in NZ.

Those with potential will recieve opportunties within the Oceania Circut ... in the unlikely event of "a world class freak" - the past would suggest they would get opportunties for super fights outside that process... But even Bob has had to qualify through K-1 Japan and Choi through Korea last year.

Either way its a win win for athletes choosing to take part.

Whether Fuji shows the try outs depends very much on editorial discretion and too be honest whether someone exceptional appears. It is likley to be a part of the footage though given NZ is a new venue for Japanese Audiences. Regardless it will be seen by K-1, as well as K-1 representives being present at the try outs.

Good points though.
