The stadium had very few spectators due to the venue being all the way out at Thammasat University - Rangsit campus.... it took a good 45/1hrs drive to get there everyday....Not a trip that many will make if not involved with the tournament directly....especially when the best fights were being profiled on UBC and had a lot of press coverage.

There was an English/GB team fronted by Mark Cawfield along with Steve and Simon from Golden Team and Andy Wilby from Way of Life gym. There were fighters from KO gym (London), Golden Team (Leeds), Way of Life Gym (York) and Master Kevin Llyods gym in Rochdale.

It was good to see Vitali Gurgov fight in the Belarussian team...it was unfortunate that the fight with Keiron didnt happen earlier this year, but I hear there is a re-organisation on the cards!!!
That will be a great fight!!!!

It was a great tournament and I had a fantastic time working with the Turkish team. Jitti recruited me as a trainer and coach to help out with the corner work. It was my first time viewing the tournament from a trainer/corner-man perspective and I found it fantastic!

Although the Turkish team are very young and still developing in muay thai, what they did get right was the organisation and national support. They were very well organised and looked the part. I mean that everytime UBC was filming at the stadium you could not help but see some form of Turkish support!
Its great to see everyone working together and bringing different perspectives to the table...I am sure next year will be more successful!!!

I pass my congratulations on to Ercan and the rest of the Turkish team for consolidating all the different styles (tae-kwon-do, kickboxing, boxing, karate) under one banner and competing in amateur muay-thai....certainly some great prospects to come out of Turkey (and even more medals)!
I look forward to next year!!!!

Well done to all the fighters, from everyone at Jitti Gym, who all fought with fantastic heart and determination....and congratulations to the WMF for a great tournament!!!
