Just do it i am so so sorry for your loss,we all know people who have come in contact with this evil horrible disease,some of us make it through(i was luck enough to do it twice)some of us dont.
I dont know you and didnt know your father but be sure if you need support from myself or any of the cancer community we are here..my email address is on my profile if you need me.
This is why the medical fraternity need funding....there is a preventative vacine out there and it will be found but research is expensive please help in any way you can.
