I agree with Mark - buy the book and try it for yourself, i dont know if it has been the placebo effect or what, but honestly i started last week (wednesday) on the 'protein type' eating advice- trained on Monday and had tons of energy we were sparring 2 minute rounds and they seemed so short! bearing in mind i am 5'8" now 16.5 stones with a fat belly, i was spariing with one of my novice fighters aged 19 and 67 kg and a very very fit and healthy guy and he was looking for the breaks - this was light sparring, granted, but still at a good fast pace.
i trained again on wednesday and had loads of energy on the bags.
i work 8 hours a day (5 days) as Police officer, teach Muay Thai Mondays, Weds, Fri and Sat Morning. i have been at this eating plan for 10 days and feel more alive than i have done in years. i have tried the zone exercises and the core work too as i can do that at home and it is all looking very postive. the best part is 'i can have my steak' lol
