A very well organised show with some really well matched and exciting fights. Jesse looked really cool and not too stressed for a promoter(although he prob just a good actor). I didn't get to see all the fights but in the ones I saw I thought the judging was very good. There was a really supportive atmosphere in our changing room from everyone and some really good performances on the night, even from those that lost. It is always good to catch up with old friends at these shows. I was really pleased with all of our lads who I thought fought really well. Well done young Ben in his first 5 rounder and to Scott. I was 'over the moon' with Liam's performance against a very strong and determined Phil Pullen who made it a brilliant fight pushing Liam to his best performance to date. I have to agree with Rich in that I feel Liam 'came of age' as a fighter in this fight by matching an appropriate mental approach to his phyical skills. Thanks to Phil for pushing Liam so very hard and making him have to stay 100% focused in attack and defence; a great fight from both lads. I did try to find you after the fight Phil to say well done and thanks for a great fight but you had done a runner to the pub LOL(or that's what your mates told me). A really good night cheers Jesse.
