You guys have been two fine ambassadors for the sport in many ways ... and not sure how washing the dirty laundry in such strong terms is at all constructive.
Andrew your best answer is simply to win this event and show how much you have improved end of story ... you win this event after winning the inaugral event way back it will be a remarkable achievment from a fighter who has had his share of setbacks, and grown and learnt from them.
Norms been a stalwart both in and out if the ring, contributing and continuing to support the sport once his fight career finished. His intregrity should not be called into question.
I think one thing we forget is once these fights were shown on TV every aspect and frailty is exposed, and in those early days we all had lots to learn. Me included as an opinionated (and big mouthed) commentator ...
Andrew my gut feeling on the night was Norm shouldn't have let the fight continue after you were caught with the upper cut, but once he had given the benefit of the doubt, he probabely should have let it play out. But he was concerned that you weren't in the right condition to safely continue and made a call. Although you may not agree with it you there comes a point where you've just got to say bugger it and move on.
As a fighter you still have a huge amount you could offer this sport if and when you get it right ... people still talk about your first K-1, but now lets go about creating a bit of history with your second Oceania 8 man title and give us some impressive new memories to talk about ... do that and the loss against T man is ancient history.
