I do long posts cos i know it makes you go crosseyed Aaron, and your really quite fuuny looking when your eyes start resembling a couple of raisins in a tumble dryer mate. Aaron, since this happened, i found myself a wee bit gun shy.Nervous. I do this job for the joy of it. When the joy left, $100 for reffing was no longer acceptable payment. When i saw promoters, whos main aim was to make money,i decided if their was no fun in it for me anymore then their had to be money.I Ref at places i have fun at.I have a three hundred dollar fee(plus gas)(and accomadation).I now enjoy my job AND can afford to have a night out with the boys and buy a few drinks as well. For fighters/promoters like you Aaron,if you dont have a good night in the ticket selling department, i wave all my fee, except for the expense of gas (and hookers.lol).I wish i had of been a great fighter like you Aaron. It must be so cool being respected after all your years of sacrifices.I am not finished with reffing and in fact this has made me a stronger and more capable referee.I have made some bad calls for sure, and im the first to admit to them, but an uneducated crowd who boos aint going to sway me.I am an old, broken down old veteran who served his country well, till the final bell sounded. One thing i learnt and one final word to the wise Aaron, dont, whatever you do ,mix Rum, Bourbon or Beer when your celebrating. Its just not worth it buddy!!
