Barney- What ever works for you works for you! :)
Thats the best gage over all in my opinion and experience. Not what anyone claims works or what any studies say.
Side note-as a general rule I think alot of people could get more protein/fat in their diet.
Sounds good. Its nice to see results and really they are the main thing we do anything for.
If you are happy with the results-great, congrat yourself my friend :)
The more I learn etc the more I see emotional stuff related with asthma.
Its interesting watching emotional issues get resolved and symptoms of asthma start to fade. I really believe in a holistic approach. Physical, mental, emotional and spiritual components to almost anything IMO&E
Its interesting with adoptions how a high pertcentage of kids get sick shortly after moving to a new home etc
The real key I believe is looking for the real cause. Is it physical? Emotional? Spiritual (beliefs can cause emotional and mental stress which of course creates physical stress). Mental?
If the issue is not adressed atv the cause (may be more than one) then even if symptoms are delt with the imbalance will come back or manifest in another mannor.
I heard a woman talk about getting breast cancer say that the western med approach was great as it worked for her 5 times (she'd gotten breast cancer after supposedly getting rid of it 5 times). Thats great for her. My belief system suggests that maybe the true nature and cause of the breast cancer was not addressed as it keeps coming back. If she is hapy, great, but I have to wonder.
barney-with yourself i see someone who made an effort to change. Its absolutely insane to think we can have a dfifferent outcome by doing the same thing yet many of us are so afraid to change. If you feel good about making changes and the results you are getting then thats great!!!
You are also being an example and having an effect on group consciousness.
Asthma-in my experience, often has emotional components. If I am working with someone on breathing issues I often may not get results unless I approach it from an emotional perspective. Then breathing starts to change, fast.
I was working on a gal who hurt her knee skiing. We were focusing on the swelling and fluid retention and getting only slight results. I asked her 'if the fluid was representing something you were holding onto and not letting go, what would it be?" After getting a response in about 10min we got the swelling down about 85% (we didn't have time to go any further).
Time and time again I see this.
I worked with a woman with nerve damage in her hand (from her cancer treatment-which the docs had not told her all the possible side effects). Results were a little slow untill we focused on some emotional stuff. then in a couple mins we got the burning and swelling down from a 7+ (scale of 1-10) to less than a 1.
Point being its not in our belief system that it could be emotionally related. But in my experience I see it time and time again with physical stuff, even when it is from accute trauma (accident etc).
As a rule of thumb-if a client is willing to go that direction I will almost always come from an mental/emotional/spiritual perspective combined with the physical or not even.
The cool thing is that improving any area of health will affect all other areas of health, IMO&E.
If you like the results from making changes-keep it up if you want :)
