I have one thing to say about the new fighters. They all have great spirit and thats the only thing that saved this show from being lacklustre. JASON RETTI with only two fights in total under his belt slayed his dragon! I read he threw in his job and trains fulltime in the hope of living his dream.Well it payed off last night!Only 2 fights and yet looks like hes had 20!!. LEAMY TATO is another fighter worth keeping an eye on. He moves around like a middleweight and can be proud of himself for a huge effort and under great pressure he didnt buckle one damn bit.
PETER SAMPSON...the surprise upset of the night.Felled by a keen FELISE LENIU! The young gun charged like a bull and destroyed any plans Peter may have had in the back of his mind. Some handle pressure, while others buckle. The difference between Peter and Felise is that Felise had nothing to lose and Peter had a heap of attention on him. ANDREW PECK...I refuse to fall into a trap, and launch into a tirade. He fought smart.Hes experienced at eight mans and single one off fights alike. Not exactly any great surprise when you take a quick look at the stats. He wanted the Eight Man title and he knew his way to it, and he has it again. Maybe 03 will become a distant memory for you now Andrew.I for one am happy to have that night finally end.
Well MATT SAMOA v ALEXANDER USTINOV... Oh boy..what was Matts manager thinking. Not what the rest of us were thinking, obviuosly. And i bet I know EXACTLY what MR. T was thinking eh MR.T!! Matt,s as brave as they come, but it would be nice if he perhaps took some time out and used that time to heal and strengthen his confidence that has taken a pounding over the last year or so.
CHARLIE SMILER and ERIC NOSA,in and out of the ring they were the two unluckiest guys in the tournament.Id be tempted to comment on the drive Charlie made to get to the show but Aaron has that one covered.
