Here is something interesting from the K-1 Official homepage, written by the Official K-1 webmaster Monty DiPietro.
"Final Eight Matchups Selection"
Hunt said after the draw for the K-1 Grand Prix, that he is looking forward to fight Jerome in his opining fight, because he has fought LeBanner before and lost. This is my chance for a rematch, said Hunt!
" Besides, I'm sore [from the previous night's tournament in Fukuoka] and I didn't want to walk all the way over to the G or H position!"
Mark Hunt, who won at the Fukuoka Repechage Tournament, selected sixth in the draw. With Leko, Hoost, and LeBanner already positioned in the first block, a member of the Australian contingent yelled from the audience for Hunt to "go right!" (Toward the second block, where Pettas and Ignashov might have looked like easier opponents). But Hunt ignored the advice, turned to the left, and paired himself up with LeBanner. A gasp of surprise went up from the hundred-strong media people covering the event, as LeBanner is undefeated in the K-1 arena since 1999.
!He's a man," smiled LeBanner. "He's a very good puncher, and we'll have a great fight."
........
I will say that Hunt has a good sense of humor and even more... A big heart! That’s the true spirit, and someone is going to be the first to stop Jerome and his successful career, and who knows - it might be Hunt. I sure hope so!
But if I was in Hunt shoes, I rather fight Pettas, Filho or Aerts than Jerome. Hunt and Jerome’s styles is very much alike, they are both heavy and they both punches so hard, that it feels like you have been hit by a truck. So it might be an open fight?
