Legends!!!.....HOWARD BROWN
I was put in against Howard Brown very early on in my career in 1981 at a big show held at the Tower Ballroom,Birmingham, but,it was almost impossible to beat him I was way out of my depth at that time as he was then British,European and World Amateur WAKO Full Contact Champion. In those early days the competition was very, very strong so when he won those titles he truly was the best,Howard won by KO after knocking me down three times and the fight was stopped in the second round he was just too good and too strong for me.I always dreamed of fighting him again in later years when I had gained the experience but it was never meant to be and we remained good freinds whenever we met.
Other Big names on that same show were Steve Taberner versus Winston Greenwood [Great Kicker!] and the man on the next picture against my original trainer the late George Wellington.....
