Topic:Report Post to Moderators
Sorry Dean, after compiling this post, I read your very last post and yes the show deserves a 5 star rating from the Ring Sport World as you know I suggested earlier. However I have had to cross my own AX guidelines??? But I think warranted.
Mick Crossland
“Leif also showed more snap and power than i have seen from him before with all the same skill and mobility that we are accustomed to from Leif. His increased strength is a good sign he is maturing physically and i think he is perhaps now too experienced and mature to be fighting opponents in the 14/15yrs age bracket so it will be nice to see him start to fight opponents his own age in future. He's a real talent at Thai so ive no doubt he'l be successful there.”
Mmmm What a back handed compliment Mick,
After receiving a text of the boy himself regarding this post, I was upset to think he keeps himself to himself, is one of the politest and mildest mannered kids I have ever met and yet he still cannot escape a comment that negates what he has done and achieved previously and after many hours of extra work for this big fight.
You know Leif is professionally managed by me and that’s FREE OF CHARGE
incase you think I am onto a money earner out of the family!
Leif has NOT fought a 14-15 year old whilst under the management of White Scorpion Fight Management, which is my own professionally run company with a whole host of champions to name a few! Leifs further fights will now be planned very carefully as with all our fighters and with the experience of our team I am sure we need no directive off outside sources.
The title was an under 18 year old -55kg and was suggested by World Champion and professional promoter Dean Sugden.
The two fighters were both 17 year old (Under 18 and not 14-15)
Both fight records and weigh ins were inspected by the EFK and WFK UK President and agreed.
One of the top fighters in the country, recently retired gave Leif Taggart the fighter of the night trophy, yours truly Mark Ellwood.
So come on Mick, we all know Leif had changed for his Full Contact fight and we know why and how, ask his parents I am sure straight talking Bob Taggart will give you a 100% correct account.
So who’s the gripe with mate? EFK, WFK UK President, Dean Sugden, Mark Ellwood or just ME again?
I am sorry that I am committed to martial arts and particularly ring sports 24-7 and my fighters and managed fighters are successful, it’s a lifetime of dedication that has brought us this and the fighters belief in me that shines through in their results also. I am old now Mick and been in the game more years than you have been alive.
Ask Marlon Hunt, Greg Darmon, Kerry-Louise, Chris Deakin, Ryan Hamer, Leif himself and the rest, who have all openly fought or defended on shows up and down the country with any organisation showing our team commitment and belief in the sport and not the initials! (We have a fight the fighter policy here)
I have broad shoulders, but please don’t pick on my children!
To all the rest of you, thanks for your support and to all the people above, thanks for recognising Leif for the champion he really is.
I hold back on AX so many times guys and I am sure Mick will try to talk his corner down like he did on the last occasion.
Yes you’re right with one thing Mick, Leif is an incredible talent in Thai and David Mc Robb, Leifs coach is a fantastic instructor, we train together regularly and indeed David does seminars for me and my students because of his excellent skills.
Although I am annoyed at your comments Mick I still remain respectful to you.
With respect in the furtherance of martial arts
yours
Cris Janson-Piers
