I remember Oliver fighting Michael Partenen he was quite tall was'nt he ...when we went over in '87 with Master Sken all Thai Boxing bouts were with shin pads and this was due to Boxing being banned as a sport there was a loophole in the law meaning you could fight Thai as long as you wore shin pads!..crazy I know but Boxing was only allowed back into Sweden last year.In the late eighties and early nineties there were a few excellent Thai fighters from places like Sweden and Norway where they could only fight wearing shin guards,when they came over here they had no problems whatsoever fighting without protection...Phil
