First off anything you do should be decided with a health care professional.

I would suggest getting off of gluten. Protein supplementation I would be wary of.
There are a couple decent ones out there but they are rare. Designs For Life has a good one and Mercola.com sells a good one.

Probiotics are huge.

Organic virgin coconut oil daily (not in p.m.) cooking with it is great. I would also take some every day.. maybe close to a tablespoon
raypeat.com has a great article on its value...

"Breaking The Vicious Cycle" would be worth a read. Specifically related to IBS, crohn's and colitis etc (explains why some things don't get broken down and what to eat and not eat etc)

Water, water, water!!!!! (your body is about 70% water - guess how much of body function is related to it..) (avoid tap water... natural spring water/mineral water ideal.. RO ok.. most certainly add sea salt if RO but always good to add)

Minimum daily in take .5 oz per lbs of body weight. (200lbs = 100oz) add a pinch or two of unprocessed sea salt per liter (use unprocessed seal salt to taste with food is great).

Working with a professional would be worth it. There are many good ones in many areas and also many more shitty ones...

Eat according to your metabolic type.
"The Metabolic Typing Diet" is the book to introduce you to it all.
"How To Eat Move and Be Healthy" and "The Last Four Doctor's You'll Ever Need" will have great info also (read first not second - second should be as good if not better).

Protein EVERY meal (protein, fat and carbs every meal - find out the ratio for you)

Don't skip breaky

NO!!!! gluten

Water water water

Omega 3's (fish oils... a company that checks for heavy metals is what you want)

LISTEN to YOUR body. Learn what it is telling you. Become more sensitive to its cues and signals.

Daily relaxation techniques... meditation, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Yoga (nothing too out there and active), breathing techniques will be HUGE long term.

Digestion starts before you put the food in your mouth. Smelling it gets juices flowing... chewing it gets juices flowing and breaks it down enough for stomach to break down rest of way.

ANYTHING stressful puts you in a more sympathetic state (that means digestion goes down...) relax when you eat, avoid work, news, news paper...

"Drink your food and chew your water."

If you have time and money I would work with a CHEK HLC level III (II good to) see how long they have been doing it etc..

Many a naturopath etc should be good... many things can help from homeopathy to EFT..

I would read up on EFT on emofree.com - type in related issues in the search and see what others experiences are etc

all the best

LOVE your food

some people say, and my experience suggests its true for me.. some people metabolize food like they metabolize life... the body, mind and soul all work together... growing in all areas effects all other areas

With Qi
