We would also like to say some thank yous:
Firstly we want to thank all the people who made the show happen, the feedback from everyone has been 100%, and we have table bookings for the next show already.
We apologise for the lack of GBH on this occasion, due to unforseen circumstances such as injuries and so and so forth. We would like to make a special mention to thank Paul Beaty who went out of his way and tried up until late Friday night to make one of the GBH fights happen.
Thank you to Dylan Scally who is our new representative for Ireland, who flew all the way here prepared to fight against Shaun Jones. Unfortunately Shaun was pulled out of the show at very late notice by Karl Kilbride, and no reasons were given. This is a matter we will be addressing.
On a positive note, Dylan will be back in March, and the fight has already been arranged.
We cannot thank the whole world, and will probably miss people out who deserve a mention, but you all know who you are that worked tirelessly to make this show happen - not just martial artists, but friends, and those who regularly go beyond the call of friendship.
Billy Wilson - a superstar, and expert in the field of trophies, ring canvasses, belts, banners, you name it Billy is your man. But more importantly a genuine guy who can keep a secret.
Sandy Holt - what a great guy who did a great job as MC. I'm priviledged to call this guy a friend, thank you Sandy.
Martin the Glove Man - I would recommend this guy to anyone. He did a great job behind the scenes ensuring fighters were ready. No drama, no fuss, and most of all I got all my equipment back! This man is a professional and we really cannot thank him enough.
The Judges - Paul, Andy and Waine, with help from Sandy and Darren we believe we achieved to get three top notch independent judges. Thank you, and we look forward to hopefully working with you again.
Ste Cullen - Thank you for all the trips to airports, hotels, venues, taking ear bashings without complaint, refereeing, and for just being a great bloke.
Mark Wilson - Mark has got to be one of the nicest people behind the loudness. On occasions too nice and can be walked over for trying to please everyone and being too nice. Respect to you Mark and thank you for all the work you did, again hotel runs and playing taxi, taking earache and running around like a mad man trying to make things happen. Also a special mention as it was Mark who ran himself ragged on Friday night trying to make fights happen for Joe Tomlin and Nicholas Ball.
The Sponsors - Thank you, without these guys the show would not have been possible. Some were personal friends such as Terry McElhinny, a renowned fighter himself and I am proud to call him a friend. Izzy, Peter Ogden, Albert to mention a couple more.
British Army and Marines - Thank you for your support and we are glad you all enjoyed the show. Special thank you for those who showed up in full uniform and the drummers who brought the fighters to the ring.
Jayne - My other half who has no choice but to put up with me all the time. Thank you, and looks like I owe you a meal out.
The Security Team - A cracking job, and very professional men. They were there when needed, anticipating any problems long before they arose. We would recommend this team to anyone for any show (and have the contact number if anyone would like it).
P4TV - An excellent job. Hope you enjoyed the show and thank you.
Eugene Valerio - We go back a long way and it's great to have you on board. Thank you for the job you did and refusing to take any payment, you are a star, thank you.
Master Goff - Despite being injured we have to thank you for making the long journey just to come and watch the show, along with your son and Amanda's son. It was sad that Amanda was unable to come. It was a great honour to have you commentating along side Eugene.
Dean Sugden and Master Cris Janson Piers - Our VIP guests, we really appreciate the distances you travelled and hope you enjoyed the show. Cris it's always great to work with you as your enthusiasm speaks volumes, thank you for doing the photographs and look forward to reading your writeups.
Steve Taberner - What a great honour and priviledge to have this great man at the show. He was also present at the weigh in taking photographs, as well as taking photos ringside. If anyone would like Steve's number to purchase any of the photographs please contact us at the Golden Belt and we will put you in touch. Steve is a professional photographer as well as being a genuine nice guy. Thank you Steve.
The Clubs and Trainers - Knuckles, Touchgloves, Widnes Kickboxing, Merseyside Kickboxing, Para Chao Suua, Kirkby Thai, Tiger's Gym (France), thank you to all of you, the trainers and the fighters, without you the show simply would not exist.
Knuckles - Big thank you to Knuckles for their patience and understanding. They bore witness to a lot of the goings on on Friday night. We haven't forgotten about Joe's trophy, and may even deliver it in person. Thanks for being there, and thanks for your support.
Tiger's Gym (France) - Phillipe Gerbert - A big thank you to taking the fights at last notice. Sadly they were not to be. However, we do appreciate the work you did for us, and we look forward to working with you again in March and in the future.
Tony Myers - A great honour and priviledge to work with you. Thank you for your words and wisdom.
From Jo - Kirsty Lund - Jo wants to say a special thank you to Kirsty, who despite having a fighter to get warmed up etc, came and asked if she could do anything to help and said she would be there if needed.
On a personal note, although the thank yous come from him also, I'd like to mention Master Ronnie Green. Thank you for your friendship and your unwaivering support which has never faltered in all the years I have known you. This great man has had so many opportunities, but I am proud to say that he has remained Golden Belt through and through, a man who gives his word and will stand by that no matter what. He has not just been a great fighter, he is also an Ambassador for the Human Race, it is a pity more people do not take a leaf out of his book and take the time to listen to his words and wisdom, as we do not all live forever. Thank you Ronnie.
The DJ, the Venue, the Hotel, the Ring, all the background staff - a huge thank you for all the work you did.
It gives me great honour to accept my Masters grade, and to have it signed by such a distinguished group of Martial Artists, who I hold in high esteem. And to have all those names on one certificate is a great honour and priviledge and something that I will never forget. I hope I can live up to the Title. A big thank you to all, you know who you are.
I have saved this to last because she is too busy typing all this out, but how you managed to do what you did without me knowing you deserve to be shot... sorry thanked... and none of the show would have happened, only for our Jo who is in the office - and who a lot of people now know and see the work she does to allow everyone else's jobs to run smoothly.
Thank you again to everyone
Master Alby Bimpson and Master Ronnie Green
And I'll probably be adding to this list!
