Article - On holiday with Lee Green - by Darren Chadwick

Another Thai holiday. Lee Green despite being the son of a famous champion he stands alone in his own right in the sport of Muay Thai. Lee may be involved in Muay Thai and may be following the traditions of his father Ronnie, but Lee Green has his own dream and this is what this Great Martial Art is all about. To have the father of one of the worlds greatest fighters must be a fight itself.....You work that out!!!

I want you to not consider the fact that Lee has a champion in his family, but I want you to think of how Lee has been around Thai Boxing all his life and when one may win another will lose! Ronnie has had many competitions and had to travel around the world.....in search of all of our dreams in 'Muay Thai'......familes suffer the most, just as much as the fighter in the ring! In fact it must be harder.

Lee Green competed in the Amature World Championships because he wanted to! He also had a team of four fighters to manage, one was himself of course.

I went to Thailand as a birthday present for my 40 birthday. I am very very lucky.....Master Ronnie asked me to join him in Thailand for my 40th birthday, nice suprise ( So I thought ! Ha Ha!).

It was a thank you from Ronnie for me being a twat and still sticking to the Art of Muay Thai!

Thanks my friend.....

Any way, I didn't know Lee Green until in Thailand. This is what I know now!

No other fighter that I knew in the championships had a team of fighters and also had fights! Fact !

The stress of a fighter is high. The stress of the managers is high. To do both is a Higher level. Lol.

Lee had not had many fights before this, but watching his fights you can hear from my delight...COM ON LEE !!

His fighters had ago with some of the best in the world....Great team spirit.....

Lee even had to suffer me during the whole two weeks of his stay in Thailand Bangkok........."what don't kill you Lee will only make you stronger".........

Lee even had ago with the Champion from Belarus.........Photo at top!

Well done Lee Green

I did not know you as a boy, now I know you as a man! A Real Muay Thai man!......Daz Chadwick

I had the time of my life! But your dad beat me up in a sparring session on my 40th birthday.....thats not a present! Or is it? Ha! Ha!

The Green Family...........Manchester real folk!
