last Sat i worked with 5 guys in an experiment - the theory being that we have the ability, to a large extent to simply see and copy. we used kicks as an example...

i got everyone to kick a few times how they normally do, then demo'd a kick to copy.. then we went and worked on it with NO instruction on kicking and no practice - just mental stuff, including possible blocks...

originally was going to keep it smaller group... more people took more time

then i demo'd a kick and everyone kicked again...

i video'd it all... everyone said they felt their kick was different and over all improved.. looks tome like some results on the tape but want to edit and put each person back to back to see more clearly

without watching more closely i would say results had an improvement on seeing and doing without learning by being taught and practicing... also over all speed, power, balance etc... i asked them to pay attention in training the next week or so and see if they noticed anything
