I think if you are looking at £4£ stakes, then the current breed have to be ahead.
The game is always evolving and people are always getting better n better.
Knowledge gets passed on, people learn the tricks and work people out.
Theres no questioning on grit, determination or heart of the past champions and pioneers, but IMHO I think:
Farang fighter £4£ - Liam Harrison - He fought men from aged 14 and has always fought professionally. He's fought from 59 to 70+ kilos. He has devasting KO power in all tools (punch, kick, knee n elbow). He has fought top-ranked stadium thais time n time again (and won). Technically better than JCS or Danny Bille. One of the few farang fighters to get in to the stadium/WMC rankings at one of the most competitive weight catagories (-61kgs). As we have gained a better understand of the scoring, we have started to fight Thai's on a level playing field. Liam has epitomised this and lead the way..... bring on Jamaica!!!!
Thai fighter £4£ - Saenchai Sor Kingstar (13-coins resort). Probably the best £4£ thaiboxer not only of our time, but of our whole generation. Technically perfect, and regularly has to give weight away to other top stadium champions. Won Sportwriters award of the year in Thailand twice, TEN years apart!!!!! Maintained his competitive level and edge, and always seems to have something extra to give.
