Well ax disagree white wolf, hence no posts about lc or semi or interclubs on this forum. And while I agree lc has a place in teaching kickboxing, I also spar lc to improve my technique, It dont make you a kickboxer, its a discipline.
To put lc fighters on a par with full contact isnt fair. We all fight for the glory, there's no money init. we fight to be called a kickboxers, some of us champion kickboxers, and a comparison is detrimental to anyone who has the bottle to fight under full contact rules and deserves the respect being a kickboxer. So to call yourself one when you dont fight is disrespectful and untrue.
kick and thaiboxing will never progress professionaly until rules are standardised, and all associations agree on a format. So distinctions have to be made, and they start here on this ax website.
