Great photo - amazing timing.

Well done to Darren Morris, Darren Phillips and team - what a great show and great fights. We had the boxing on in our changing room for a while and the standard of fights, presentation and overall quality was far better at the Reebok. Tgere were some great fights and excellent matchmaking.

We were gutted about having to pull Liam out for being forced to let people down and also for the lost opportunity for Liam - this was a great fight, the opportunity for another title and a good payday. However one mans loss is often another mans gain and Luke stepped in without hesitation which show how big his heart is. It shows how strong the gym is too that we have a replacement at this level.

Luke was amazing he was nervous because although I had faith in him he was walking into the unknown and really testing himself.

Luke fought great in the first round - Kotsur tried to intimdate him by throwing power shots and Luke was a bit hesitant at first but grew in confidence as the round went on and he realised he wasn't hurting him. It was Liam that spotted the weakness and told Luke to step in with the elbow when Andre threw the right. The first time he did it, it worked beautifully and the rest is history. Fantastic result for Luke and for the gym. Well done to him for grabbing the opportunity and for rising to it. Thanks to Andre for giving it to him - he didn't have to take the fight.
