Malaipet vs. Chike Lindsay set for August 13th Stand Up Promotions event
The August 13th Stand Up Promotions event "World Class Championship Muay Thai" that will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA keeps getting bigger. Muay Thai Authority has been informed by sources close to the situation that a bout featuring Malaipet and Chike Lindsay has been added to the event, and that it will be for Malaipet's WBC Muay Thai super welterweight international title.

Malaipet has hit a recent rough patch dropping three consecutive fights. In October of 2010 he dropped a decision to Xu Yan at Hero Legends in Malaysia, in December of 2010 he lost a decision to Kevin Ross at Stand Up Promotions "King's Birthday Celebration", and most recently in February he dropped a decision to Michael Mananquil at Lion Fight Promotions "Battle in the Desert". Despite the recent rough patch Malaipet is always considered a threat in any fight, although the questions about how hard "The Diamond" has prepared for his fights will likely continue to circulate.
Lindsay was set to face Kenny Finister at Bangkok Fight Night 10 on June 10th, but an injury to Finister scrapped the fight. Lindsay has not competed in Muay Thai since dropping a decision to Kevin Ross in December of 2009, however, he hasn't been completely out of competition as he has had a few MMA fights in that time. It will defintely be a test for Lindsay returning to the ring against someone like Malaipet.

Also scheduled for the event is the much anticipated fight between Saenchai Sinbimuaythai and American Kevin Ross.

Current Scheduled Fight Card:
Saenchai Sinbimuaythai vs. Kevin Ross
Kaoklai Kaennorsing vs. Simon Marcus
Rungravee Sasiprapa vs. Kunitaka Fujiwara
Coke Chunhawat vs. Tetsuya Yamato
Shane Oblonsky vs. Artem Sharoshkin
Kompetchlek Lookprabaht vs. F-16 Rachanont for the WBC Muay Thai Super Featherweight Championship
Malaipet vs. Chike Lindsay for WBC Muay Thai Super Welterweight International Title
