only last week a woman was stabbed to death in her own home after calling the police and asking for help, the police being inadeqaute and failing to do the job they are paid to do isn't a one-off, years ago the starting wage for the police was close to £20k with all the perks, cheap housing, finance, pension for life, i'm all for rewarding good work, point is the police don't do good work, its mostly the public that solve crimes, it's similar to the other governemnt, council roles, overpaid for doing very little, it takes 3 of them to do the job of 1 person and if they ever get a hint of losing a portion of their pension they strike, these people are getting away with sub par performances while the public just swallows it up
