pride and the early ufc's had tough old bastards which is missing from all modern mma now, they're more athletes now looking for a career and they train to protect their records. in the olden days it was just a ruck. the old was more of a spectacle but today is more of a sport. i think i also prefer the old days for what its worth, even though it was usually ugly
