The Main Event - set to take British thaiboxing to new levels.

Today we start to release the fight card for The Main Event a new co-operation between Daz Morris, Dan Green & Darren Phillips (3D Promotions) in association with Peel Holdings.

Sponsored by fightshop.com, The Main Event will feature one of the most exciting cards in the history of British combat sports. The domestic fights you thought you'd never see, exciting knockout merchants going toe to toe and some intriguing technical technical contests - we plan to give every fan what they want to see!

We initially have two of the headliners to release today and the rest of the whole of the card will be released over the next fortnight. To add to the excitement both of these fights are WINNER TAKES ALL contests with several titles on the line to determine who is the true champion.

WMC MAD World Title, ISKA World Title, WKA World Title - 5 x 3 mins Full Thai Rules
Tim TNT Thomas (Nak Soo) vs Andy Thrasher (Manchester)
The two stand out welterweights of 2011 go head to head to decide who is truly British number one. Both fighters have had a phenomenal year, fighting nearly every month. Thomas taking the ISKA world title in Cambodia in the champion's hometown and Thrasher winning the Toyota Tournament, one of the biggest tournaments in Thailand and sparking out the Lumpinee ranked number one in the final. In total Thrasher had 9 fights with 7 wins 2 losses in 2011 (with one fight still to happen), Thomas had 9 fights with 7 wins 1 draw and 1 loss, also winning a title in Guernsey.

These two met before four years ago with Thomas then winning by stoppage. Will it go the distance this time?
Both fighers can bang, both think they're the best. At the end of the fight there can only be one winner..

WMC MAD World Title, WMC European Title - 5 x 3 mins Full Thai Rules
Micheal Wakeling (Scorpions) vs Craig Jose (The Faktory)
Jose does for us one of the most admirable things a fighter can do in the sport - putting the WMC MAD World title on the line for the third time in 12 months against Michael Wakeling. The South's most exciting fighter, WMC European and WMC MAD Intercontinental Champion Michael Wakeling, made a big splash last time he fought in Manchester against Chris Shaw and this time will challenge for his first world title on British soil. Both fighters had a great 2011 - Jose beating Kevin Harper and Daitan Jackson, Wakeling in his last fight beating the well reknowned Egon Racz amongest the mainy highlights for the two.

The rest of the card looks set to feature the best of all the weight classes and some great upcoming young talent including Dean James, Rick Barnhill, Andrew Tate, Daitan Jackson, Paul Kaporwicz, Stuart Kemp, Joe McGovan, Mike Clarke, Paige Farrington, Chad Sugden, Sam Omogobe, Thomas McCormick, Solomon Wickstead and others.

Tickets go on sale today and VIP tables are already 50% gone with pre-orders. Get in touch early about club bulk discounts as for sure this will be a sell out.
