Slamm! understand the reactions to the appointment of Ilias on the line-up. On the other hand, we believe that everyone should get a chance, and the concept of the main program is still to place Dutch fighters against fighters from Thailand. We understand the criticism that some Thai fighters we put on the card allready reached their top (like Bovy & Anuwat), but commercially it is often not useful to place an unknown Thai fighter, even when he is really good. Slamm!! is inventing a lot of money and effort to build the Thai names in Holland, so every time a completly other line-up is unfortunately a big issue for us. The Dutch people simply do not wish to buy tickets for unkown fighters. Regarding Ilias, the choice was simple: there are just a few Dutch fighters that can make the weight between -61 kilogram. Indeed he has lost from Rungravee, but a year before he won on points from Paowarit Sasiprapa in Emmen. So it is a fighter with potential and we gladly give him a second chance.
