Brief interview with Liam 'Hitman' Harrison

3D: How does Andrei Kulebin compare to some of the other world class fighters you have faced such as Sanchai, Anuwat etc?

LH: I think he's up there with the best in the world. He's fought Sudsakorn, Saiyok, he's beaten Mosab Amrani and loads of other top fighters. He's definitely one of the best outside Thailand and if I want to prove that I'm one of the best outside Thailand, he's someone I need to beat.

3D: What do you think his strengths and weaknesses are?

LH: He's very technical, fast and sharp. He a good strong clincher. I'm not coming to play around, I'm going to try to hurt him early on and slow him down.

3D: With that in mind, what's your gameplan for this fight?

LH: I'm going to fight to my strengths this time. In my last fight I didn't really fight to my strengths, I was trying to play a game that wasn't my own so this time I'm going to fight my fight, rip into him with solid power shots with technique as well.

3D: You've moved up a weight for your last couple of fights, 66.6kg for this one, is this your permanent weight category now?

LH: No, I'm coming back down after this one. I'm too small for it to be honest, all the guys I'm fighting are giants at this weight! I don't really have to diet much to make weight for these fights and it makes me feel a bit sluggish. My best weight is 63-65kg really so I'm looking to come back down to around 64/65kg max after this.

3D: Have you got other fights in the pipeline already this year?

LH: I've got a fight against Houccine Bennaoui in France on June 2nd, he's a good name who's just won a 4 man tournament over there. He's just beaten Mosab Amrani and he's fought Anuwat and some other good names so that's a good fight for me.

3D: Who are the other big name fighters you'd like to fight?

LH: I want to fight Fabio Pinca. There's talk about it at the moment so hopefully it will happen. I think if I beat Kulebin it's got to happen, so we'll see.

3D: Anything you'd like to add?

LH: I'd like to say thank you to everyone from Bad Company, my training partners, my sponsor Yokkao Boxing and also thanks to everyone at 3D for having me on the show.
