i think this fight will be one sided, i like cotto, he's respectful and comes to fight but i don't see him as having anything to trouble mayweather
cotto's not known for explosive speed or ko power and imo you need one or both of those to beat mayweather, and who has both those traits? manny pacquaio by the truckload haha and then when you throw in manny's timing and unorthodox style it makes a very difficult puzzle for mayweather to solve
...imo the way mayweather beats manny is by constantly defending, countering, hardly throwing, marquez took the 3rd fight with that gameplan, but it wasn't decisive enough, mayweather would have to really dig in and up the intensity which is where marquez fell short...trouble with that is, marquez is more likely to take a shot to give one, he'll get in there, where as mayweather isn't as willing to take a shot to land one
a lot of people think mayweather has manny figured out, i think its the other way round, manny's ducked nobody
mayweather's been known as a cherry picker for a long time and with good reason
mayweather's talent in unbelievable but the most difficult fights for mayweather to put together have been the ones that would have challenged him the most...de la hoya rematch, cotto and mosely in prime, then you look at the fights that were easy to put together...a 140lb plodding hatton, an undersized marquez(& pbf couldn't even fight at agreed catchweight), old man mosely, green ortiz and cotto(a fighter that's had 2 potential psychological and physically career ending beatings)
pacman-bradley is a more interesting fight
