Honestly for me it was a great fight and disecting it in this fashion dilutes its impact in my opinion. So am keen not to get drawn into a debate that at the end of the day is a matter of personal perspective. That said the elbow in question was indeed a strong technique. But there were many other techniques that went towards the decision.

If the referee retrospectively acknowledges his oversight then fair enough. Had the blow resulted in a KO then it may be relevant. But it didnt.
