65kg K1 rules – Danny Horton (Majestic Gym, Wigan) vs Regis Sugden (Suggy’s Gym, Newark)

In a change to the original matchup, popular heavy hitter Danny Horton will now face the challenge of rising kickboxing and MMA prospect Regis Sugden, brother of ISKA World champion Chad. Horton fought on The Main Event in November 2013, dropping a very close decision to number 4 ranked Mikey Wiseman but got back to winning ways in February this year with a 2nd round TKO win. Known for his aggressive style and high KO ratio, his record currently reads 10 wins 5 losses and he is relishing the prospect of adding another win in this forthcoming challenge. 18 year old Sugden is a popular name on the kickboxing circuit with over 100 amateur contests under his belt. He made the move into the professional ranks last year and his slick approach has so far seen him acquire a perfect record of 8 straight wins, including 2 MMA competitions, on route to picking up a Commonwealth title. A very interesting matchup that guarantees to be a war from start to finish!
